Darc #3

Darc is an action movie. The director is Julius Nasso and the main actors are Tony Schiena, Armand Assante, Kippei Shîna and Tetsu Watabane.

Synopsis :

To bring down a global human trafficking ring, an Interpol agent recruits the help of a brutal criminal with inside knowledge of the yakuza.

(Lots of dialogues are in japanese)

What I liked :

The action scenes are really good, still a bit violent, but really intense. The end may be surprising, but is not really original.

One good point too is the look on prostitution, it's never condescending and judging, but compréhensive, and my favorite character, the most developed in my opinion, is a prostitute.

What I disliked :

All the cliches of an action movie are there. The main character is only motivated by vengeance, the female characters are... present (and not much dressed), the scenario is not original, everything is an excuse for an fight scene. The love story is barely developed and really to fast. We don't have much time to feel empathy for the characters, because there are too quickly developed.

And the bad guys are not threatening, you don't feel fear for the hero.

But, despite all that, I still enjoyed watching this movie, it was a good time due to the action scenes which are entertaining. A good movie to watch just for fun.

My grade : 5/10
