Hello! Did you all have a good week? I hope so ^^
Well let's move on to the topic of the day.

Reading is the key!
Do you like to read? I hope yes !
Reading is, regarding all languages, an aspect of the learning process that is not negligible.
If you are planning to work in an international society or if you want to travel all around the world, you will necessarily need to read and to understand what you read.
Reading in another language is both simple and complex.
Let me explain.
At school you write your vocabulary on your copybook so you know how to spell the words you learn. In that way, it is not that difficult.
But, when in oral you can understand a sentence without knowing a bunch of word, or ask your interlocutor to explain it differently; by reading it's more difficult.

What can I read in English?
I would like to say: everything you want!
But let's be clear.
Here is a list of examples of what you can read in English.
Fanfictions
Personally, I like to read fanfictions. But to find a good fanfiction in French, of course it is not impossible (well, that's lucky!) but, unfortunately, they often are hidden by the most awkward and bad-written fanfictions!
In English, you are more likely to find good ones. And the advantage of fanfictions is that they are often quite simple to understand !
( :warning: : in some books where there is a whole universe created, a lot of nouns might be different in English and in French ;))
Books, novels
It's more difficult, I agree! But this is a good exercise.
I personally am not a good example for this exercise, because I have only read one book in English and I'm not even sure that I finished it ^^' (that's not my fault, I always have bad luck when it is a matter of English books!).
To begin, you can read some books that are made for students and so that are quite easy and with some helps.
Then you can try more and more difficult, until you understand all that is written ! Good reading!
( :warning: : books from the last centuries, with "old" English, are way more difficult to understand because of the vocabulary, the historical contexts, the writing style... So be aware ;))
Websites
This is, for students, almost unmissable!
If you have researches to do that do not concern just and French culture, doing your researches in English can be an absolute asset.
Now of course, it's easier to search in French. But if you don't find enough informations on French website, don't forget English!
And to all of you who dare do researches in French for English works (I see you), please, from now on, do me the favor of doing your researches in English. Thank you ;)
Instructions/precautions
Do I really have to explain? x)
Seriously, it can be helpful sometimes, but yeah... There is nothing else to say about it x)
And there is certainly a lot of other things that I don't have in mind at the moment.

Reading in English is really helpful and a not negligible skill to have.
It may help you in the life of all days, if you are lost in a non French-speaking country, if you want to turn on your new alarm-clock or if you just want to get a good mark on your presentation of Shakespeare.
I hope you enjoyed this article!
I wish you a good reading ;)
And au-revoir !
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you something: if you have some ideas of topics for A·W·T·L·E or if you want me to do other types of blogs, please tell me in the comments section! ( I have to confess that I begin to be short of ideas for A·W·T·L·E, even if I know that there are still a lot of things to say ^^')
