Opal

After the gemstone. A simple name that was more

given by others than herself or her parents.

〖 𝑎𝑔𝑒〗

She must be in the middle of her second century.

Many things happened since she hatched but for a being

that can reach thousands of years of age she's quite  

  young, even if wise nonetheless.

〖𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑠〗

Dragon

She's an hybrid between a light and an ice-dragon,

capable of using both elements. For that one could say

Opal is a rarer type of dragon, even if she herself

doesn't really care about that fact. In the end she's just

another dragon with two wings, four legs and

shimmering scales.

〖 𝑏𝑖𝑟𝑡ℎ〗

Opal hetched in the far north mountains, under the lights

of the aurora borealis. She doesn't any parents

by her side, but after she survived somehow the first

few days of her life she was found by a gentle ice

dragon that took care of the little hatchling.

  Still this cold and harsh northern land feels like home to

her, even if she misses the look of the night sky with its

beautiful painting of light and the crystal like glittering

of the ice and snow that covered the mountains.

〖 𝑜𝑐𝑐𝑢𝑝𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛〗

Once she fought in a war. Humans discovered her home

and wanted to clean the land from this wicked   

  'demonkind'. But that was a long time ago.

  Now and then there are still some of these crusaders

  but she doesn't fight anymore. The only things she

  seeks are revange and peace even if these two things

doesn't seem to fit together so well.

〖𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑎𝑙 𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦〗

She is capable of creating a blending light to distract

enemies for short time. In extreme cases she's able to

blind them permanently but Opal isn't willing to go this

far with her ability.

  Besides that as a part ice dragon she does have an icy

breath. When barley touching it, the ice breath can cause

cold burn but when an enemy is exposed to it directly

for longer then twenty seconds it will freeze them

completely.

24 meters in total length, 2,5 meters in hight with a wing

  span of 28 meters.

〖𝑏𝑢𝑖𝑙𝑑〗

For a dragon she is build very gentle and elegant with a

slim body, medium large, sharp shaped wings, a long neck

  and tail and shorter legs.

  Opal isn't exactly strong and muscular but a fast, agile

flyer, capeble of traveling long distances. Her slim body

makes it possible to manouver through narrow mountain

es while the strong legs and the curved, sharp claws

make it possible to heng on the rough stone.

〖𝑠𝑐𝑎𝑙𝑒𝑠〗

Her scales are white but they break the light in a way

that it seems like there are shimmering soft in the colors

of the aurora borealis. Some of them glow in the same

warm light as her eyes or the edge of her wings.

〖𝑒𝑦𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑟〗

Her pupilless eyes are a solid white color, glowing soft in

a yellow-golden light. Opal is blind und while she has

accepted that fate, it makes her eyes not less useless.

〖𝑐𝑙𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑐𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠〗

She's wearing a leather belt with a silver dragon buckle

and two bags attached to it. Back in the past, when her

eyes were still functioning, she had a little obsession with

beauty and jewelry and to this day she is still wearing

golden and silver rings on her horns, with gemstones on -

and fragile silver chains between them. On her left front

leg she wears two bracelets as well as on her tail tip.

In her past she got herself often in fights and many scars

cover her body.

Opal can sometimes be a bit peculiar, often lost in

thought and absent. She is assertive and her respect is

difficult to gain. Maybe you can call her a little bit

grumpy, but contrary to the many battle scars that

suggest otherwise, she is of a more peaceful nature and

would never kill for no reason. In her way she has a

certain elegance that is also reflected in her character.

She is neither very open nor direct, but appreciates a

little company, provided it does not become 'too much'

for her. Sometimes she comes across as a bit cold and

distant, because expressing feelings is not her strength,

but she makes an effort if she thinks the other person is

worth it.
