Hi there! I'm new here. And I can see all 2 of you are piping and ready to read my post lol.

So yeah I guess I ed here because I'm working on a dystopian type book that uses dragons as the main characters and I wanted to be able to create content and post about it because right now it's just stuff in the works and won't get attention from other s except me for a long time until I'm done.

Our main cast consists of dragons from 3 groups, each subspecies of one another. These groups are called the big 3.

;Brilliants;

Name Meaning: (of light or color) very bright and radiant. Based on their bright colors that pop compared to the other 2 groups.

Description: The lowest species of dragon though by far the “prettiest” and most colorful. Most Brilliants are raised to do household chores or learn to take on general domestic type roles. They are often called "The Frails"

;Mares;

Name Meaning: Latin word for The Sea or Of The Sea.

Description: The second highest species of dragon. Most Mares are raised to do undercover work. They specialize in swimming and sea travel as they are semi aquatic and have a pair of lungs and gills.

;Watchers;

Name Meaning: A person (dragon) who observes something attentively or regularly.

Description: The highest and most respected species of dragon, commonly known as the Watching wings. Most Watchers are raised to be “guardians” or rather caregivers, though they tend to abuse that power.

The big 3 are subspecies of eachother and can breed interchangeably making hybrids. Hybrids are extremely rare and in most cases forbidden. They are generally known as "impure" and are often called "impurebreds" in this society. As of the first chapter in my book, there is only 1 known hybrid, but who's knows perhaps there's more?

I would go into more details but this post would be ages long. So I guess stay tuned? For now have some of my awesome characters and character designs. If a staff member wants proof of art creation then I can provide it through pm.

;Ira;

Name Meaning: Latin word for anger or rage.

Ira is current captain of the watching army. (did I mention the book takes place durring a war?) He is second in command (third if you count the queen) and he is the poster child for a Watcher. Totally a Karen and totally in control.

;Audacia;

Name Meaning: Latin word for brave or bold

Audacia was in the same class as the current general of the watching army she was introduced to the queen durring the Reginae Cultrum, when a current queen chooses the next general for the watching army. She was actually general before the current general Tyrannus, but stepped down when she married and had a dragonling of her own. She is very brave and considerably kind for a watcher.

;Placid;

Name Meaning: Latin word for calm

Placid is a main character! And is one of the few characters we get a pov of. She is very observant and has... odd metaphors and descriptions for things. She is quite disobedient, but when she's not being a nuisance to the watchers she's usually quite calm often having a blank expression while observing things around her. She is also niece to Tyrannus

;Turmoil;

Name Meaning: Another word for chaos or disorder

Turmoil is a new character to the story. His role may change, but currently I have him as a student in the general's academy who is extremely ambitious and mentors Placid when she too arrives at the generals academy.

I take a lot of inspiration from Tui and I worked very hard on what I have so far. I'll post the very first chapter of my book here as well, but till then thank you again for reading. <3
