((THIS DOG HAD PROFFESIONAL TRAINING AND IS STILL IN TRAINING ))
I will share my thoughs about a dog who I really love but who also has me really worried about his future...

This is Clifford, a husky/amstaff mix(we think he is). He's about 1,5 years old and is such a sweetheart. He loves to go on long walks, play and getting his butt scratched. He has also done some bikejoring wich he loves and some tracking. He hates thunder and during thunderstorms he crawls up on my lap and lies there pressing himself towards me.
Sounds like a very sweet dog right? I really wish that this side of him was his only side...

Cliff was found alone in the woods. We belive he was dumped. It's not uncommon that people dump their unwanted dogs in the forest and hoping that noone will find them and that that
the winter or wild animals will kill them.
We have no idea what Cliff's life was like before he came to the shelther but we know it was not good.
Clifford don't bond with humans, he's been with us for 3 months and no matter how we try he just wont bond with any of us. He has high prey drive, is super strong and "locks" on target. It's inpossible to get with him when it happends. He's very dog aggressive, he would without a doubth kill a dog if he had the chance.

And then the thing that worries me the most...
Cliff has been abused, he shows some signs of it but the strongest signs of it is how much he hates men.. I've seen dogs with high preydrive wanting to kill animals before but Cliff is diffrent.. It's pure rage and very scary to see. If a man came to close to him there would not be much left of that man. And if you are really unlucky he will turn on you. Yepp you read right. Cliff have before, turned on previous handlers when he starts rageing..

So who would want a dog like him?? Cliff needs to live isolated, far from people. He needs a owner who has no social life. Cliff is also young, he can live for 10 more years. Imagen what would happen if a child ran up to him.. Imagen if a lose dog meet him..

I hope you guys will help him in time.
I know that feeling when you love him and care for him very much.
I think he will make better with pateint, a good tranier and time!
You can do this! :hearts:
He's been sent away to our sister shelther that has male workers so they will train him on handling men. However I would not trust this dog unmuzzled with men if he ever get's adoped. :pensive:

I hope he and many other dogs will get a forever home!
Good Luck! :sparkling_heart:
Poor pup. Abel has been quite timid about men. If we're on a walk and a dude is walking towards him, he'll run behind me and bark. We're not a hundred percent sure why.
Some dogs just don't like men for some unknown reasons. 🤷🏻♀
Poor dog:( people can be terrible to animals...
I really hope he finds a loving home that he feels safe in. I’m really happy you haven’t given up on him, without you he would be put down. We need more people like you!! Good luck to you and Cliff!
