The Cinderlla trilogy: the correct order

to start with, let me give a quick summary on the two movies. If you haven’t seen them this is your only warning.

Cinderella two features 3 stories about cinderellas first days at the castle. giving a good ending to our favorite step sister Anastasia. I personally love this movie but i hate the way cinderella 3 ruins anastasias ending. At the end of C2, she ends up with the baker and defys her mothers wishes, but in C3 she is back with her mom and they never acknowledge the baker :(

in c3, anastasia finds fairy god mothers wand and their step mother uses it to "Undo cinderella's doing" which takes them back to the day after the ball. This completely messes up her story because they went back before she got with the baker and now step mother knew about the baker and could therefore stop them from meeting again.

so while i think the composition of c3 is better than c2, i believe the true order to watch these movies in is c1 , c3, and c2. it gives anastasia they happy ending i think she deserved! she has so much character development, and i honestly thinks her story shows us that even people who are deemed ugly by society can still find someone to love. I was always called ugly as a kid, so seeing the “ugly” stepsister find someone to love her was a huge deal to me. it still is! it was something that impacted me in a  positive way, and gave me confidence i needed.

in conclusion, that is why i think we should watch the cinderella movies in the “wrong” order. I’d like to think of it as the correct order.
