So I was thinking of doing a Cross over art with Digimon and Steven Universe. I can't decide on a rookie though and so I figured, why not and ask you guys. Which rookie would fit with Steven?
I figured Dorumon because the fact that Dorumon in X Evolution had an intense up bringing how Dorumon and Steven share the similarity of growth in character.
Then Elecmon for the fact that in adventures he was a nurturing and caring figure for the eggs. Plus in his route he can become Leomon. Leomon and Lion share a similarity of both had died but were able to come back, for leomon in Adventures he would be reborn. Lion from the help of Rose Quartz.
Lopmon for the reason that Lopmon and Steven are both maybe small but they can be big help to their friends.

Elecmon fits the most I feel. Dorumon is too main stream imo, and lopmon is a bit of a stretch

I’m not saying it’s like a pet relationship. I think they complement each other well with Steven able to evolve lopmon’s line emotionally as well as physically. If you noticed, Steven doesn’t treat his pets like ‘pets’, he treats them like friends/companions so i tend to use the interchangeably and was not expecting anyone to get offended.

But i guess as a rookie it could be a Gazimon just cause mischief meet goody goody. Kinda like amethyst
