What if the Digimon Adventure Cast had Secondary/Alternative Partner Digimon

I've been waiting to do this again lol! If you wanna see my 2020 version of this idea, you can see it here. The basic premise is taking the original Adventure cast and giving them alternative/secondary partners based off their character, relationships with other Digimon, etc. However this time, I'll also be including the likes of Meiko and Willis into this! With all of these out the way, let's kick this one up!

Tai and Piximon

This seemed the most obvious to me. When Tai and Agumon were down bad after the SkullGreymon incident, the gang met Piximon. Piximon sent Tai and Agumon on their own journey which gave then confidence back in their selves just in time to help their friends. I feel Tai would get Piximon. For the evolution line I'd have the rookie as Kotemon, the champion as Igamon and the mega as most likely Jijimon as it seems like a natural evolution to me. So, Tai's secondary partner would be Piximon!

Matt and Gotsumon

I think this makes another partner pretty obvious but I'm giving Matt Gotsumon. Matt was pissed when Myotismon murdered em. You might ask why not Pumpkinmon? Well I feel Matt has had more encounters with different Gotsumon so that's why I'm giving him this instead of Pumpkinmon. I also feel it's sort of reminiscent of Gabumon's line. It's fairly similar until the final evolution when it just becomes G U N S! Speaking of the line, the champion will be Monochromon, the ultimate would be Triceramon, while the mega would be Cannondramon. Rock, rock dino, hard like rock dino then just gun. Thus is the line if Matt's new Gotsumon.

Izzy and Andromon

This felt right for me to include. Izzy was the computer nerd of the group and gained his and Tentomon's first evolution into Kabuterimon. Also a robot? Izzy's crest being Knowledge seems oddlt fitting now :eyes: . The rookie would be Hagurumon, champion is Gaurdromon, and the mega is HiAndromon! Moving from robotics with Izzy and Andromon, how about we take a more organic approach with our next pair of...

Sora and Yokomon/Floramon

Now let me get this out the way, I'm perfectly aware Yokomon is the baby stage of Biyomon, however while Meramon was a consideration, I felt it didn't fit Sora besides from the flame aspect and this Yokomon will have a completely different route. Sora in Adventure doesn't befriend a lot of Digimon so we need to think. She protected a Yokomon village so I'm working from there. Sora also later on was trying to flower arrange so as a reference to that and the mansion, I'm selecting this Yokomon to become a Floramon! Its honestly the best I could think of so yeah :eyes: . The line would be the champion Kiwimon, the ultimate Lilamon and the mega Ornismon to stay within the bird theme of Sora however it also seems more plant like so yeah :eyes: . If you couldn't tell, Sora is by far the biggest stretch lol. Moving on from a pair of life with Sora and Floramon, we go to..

Mimi and Leomon

Well guess Mimi is getting a dead partner. Jokes aside it's kinda why I chose Leomon. Leomon died saving Mimi so I felt it would be fitting if a revived Leomon was her secondary partner. The rookie would be Liollmon, ultimate I'd say GrapLeomon and mega would be SaberLeomon as in the show. Short and sweet for Mimi.

Joe and Ogremon

This seemed good for Joe's character considering he was a major influence on it. Though I always found it a tad funny how Joe and Mimi would squabble at the beginning of the og so maybe giving then the rivalry Digimon wasn't a bad idea. Ogremon is a Digimon that seems to want to be the strongest so I actually thought up a line. Asuramon for the Ultimate, Vulcanusmon for the Mega and for the rookie, I chose Modoki Betamon. Idk why I suppose I felt weak to strong. Also weapon felt right to keep over in the mega

T.K and Elecmon

I actually had a line planned for this that oddly worked well with T.K lol

Anyways meeting in the Primary Village and becoming a real tease for Angemon back in the og is Elecmon! Elecmon actually can evolve into Angemon which sprouted the idea for the line! For the champion we're gonna have Aegiomon, followed up by Aeigochusmon Holy then finally Jupitarmon. If we wanna make a reference to armor evolution in 02

and T.K's sprout in anger issues

Jupitarmon can have Wrath Mode, why the hell not. I feel the like sticks with the holy theme, explores some paths of slight darkness and the whole "small animal turning into angel" thing T.K has going on. Moving on the by far the most predictable line we have...

Kari and Wizardmon

who would've seen this coming

Jokes aside, I doubt this reasoning needs an introduction. Influence for Kari and Gatomon's partnership in the first place, reason they're both alive to this day, reason Kari even got her digivice and crest, Gatomon's best friend ya know the whole deal by now :eyes: . For lines I'm gonna say Impmon as the Rookie, Mistymon for the Ultimate and Mastemon for the mega, representing both Kari's light and darkness.

Willis and Patamon + Tsukaimon

Honestly a Digimon duo I think could replace Terriermon and Lopmon so let's just hop into the evolution lines.

Tsukaimon to Devimon, Devimon to NeoDevimon, NeoDevimon to DonDevimon

Patamon to Angemon, Angemon to MagnaAngemon, and MagnaAngemon to Seraphimon.

Patamon could theoretically armor evolve since it's the Terriermon replacement :eyes: .

Meiko and Lopmon

Aight this is purly because Lopmon fills the Meicoomon role quite well lol. Has a specific Dark Evolution like but has a good one. So lemme just go over both since we don't really know if Meiko's Meicoomon ever had a good evolution line :eyes: . For the dark line, the champion is Wendigomon, the ultimate is Antylamon, and the Mega would be Cherubimon (The evil one :eyes: ). For the good line if it has one, it's probably obvious it's the champion as Turuiemon the ultimate as Antylamon, wrapping up the mega with Cherubimon (Good).

This took longer then expected to make lol! Meiko was definitely a challenge to work with but hey it's all done at the end of the day. We all know what comes after Adventure :eyes: . Thankfully, since 02 has a smaller cast (at 4 unless there's someone I miss or add) it'll be a much quicker post to finish. Sayonara, thanks for reading!
