Ross stared in awe at Hackmon. His excitement was uncontained, as he smiled and giggled in glee. Hackmon looked at him, confused. Ross couldn't contain it anymore.
"You're a... A Digimon! Oh my God! I thought it was just an old computer game! I've gotta take you home, and show Maria you!"
Hackmon looked at Ross in Confusion, and said:
"First of all: How do you know that I'm a Digimon? Second of all: What is this "Computer" you speak of? Last of All: Do you have a scarf or a small towel, I need to stop this bleeding."
"Yeah! I have one! I'll take you to my house! I've got food, water, and plenty of towels there!"
"Sounds good, kid. Can I use your scarf for now, so the bleeding doesn't get worse?"
Ross nods, and takes off his scarf, and attempts to wrap it around Hackmon's hand. Hackmon stops him and says:
"No, I can manage. Thanks Anyways."
Hackmon wraps the scarf around his bleeding wound and turns to Ross.
"What's your name, kid?"
"Ross..."
"Well, Ross, I'm thankful for this scarf you've lent me and the hospitality that you're giving to me. The name's Hackmon."
Hackmon extends his hand out to Ross and they shake hands.
"Alright Ross. Lead me to your home!"
2 minutes later...
"Alright! We've arrived!"
"This is your home? (Mumbling) Better than a cave."
Ross walked towards the door, and Hackmon followed. They entered the living room, where Ross' younger brother and sister were both playing on their SNES. Ross' mother was in the kitchen, and she greeted him, as Hackmon hid quickly behind the couch.
"Hey mom! How was your day?"
His mother responded:
"It was good, sweetie. How about yours?"
"Very exciting! It was great!"
"What was so exciting about today, Ross?"
Hackmon looked at Ross, and gave him a sign to improvise. Ross nodded in understanding and responded:
"Umm... I finished my project today!"
"Great! Well, I'm making dinner now. Your father will be here at around 7:30, and dinners at 8. You can do your experiments downstairs if you want, just don't destroy the house."
"Don't worry, I won't!"
Ross' mother walked back to the kitchen, and began working again. Ross walked into a hallway, towards a door. Hackmon checked to see If the coast was clear, and he ran to Ross.
Hackmon looked at the door, and as Ross opened it, he responded:
"Wait. What did your mom say by "experiments?" I know what the definition of experiment is, I just want to know the specifics."
"Oh yeah! I should have mentioned! I'm sort of a "mechanic in-training!" My dad taught me how when I was younger, but since then. I've advanced a ton, and now I just make a bunch of technology to do virtually... anything that I desire!"
They walked down the stairs, and stop in the middle of the room. Hackmon looked in interest, at all of the machines in the room.
"So you can fix technology as well?"
"Yep!"
"Well, I have something you can fix with my help. I'll show you."
Hackmon removes the scarf from his hand, and reaches into the wound. He pulls out a small chip, and hands it to Ross.
"What is it?"
"A digi-transporter. It can take me through different realms. I mostly use it to surveil your world."
"Wait. "My world?"
"Precisely. Your world may seem like it's the only world in your universe, but its shadow... covers my world. The digital world."
"The digital world? Wait. The digital world is where the game takes place... could it be? Yes! The game is a window to the digital world! We have to use your digi-transporter as soon as possible! I have to work on it now! I must see your world!"
Ross quickly scrambled to his desk, and started to work on fixing Hackmon's Digi-Transporter. Hackmon looked around and found Ross' computer. He sat in the chair, and touched the mouse. The digimon game came on. Hackmon was startled.
He looked at the game, and observed it. He seemed interested in the behavior of the digimon. Ross walked up to Hackmon, with a pair of goggles in his hands. Ross started to speak.
"Hey, Hackmon. I-"
Suddenly, Maria came running down the stairs.
"Hey Ross! What's that new game you've promised to-"
She stared at Hackmon in shock.
"What...is...that..?"
Ross responded: "His name is Hackmon! He saved me from Max when I was walking back from school! He's a real life digimon!"
"Yes. That is true. Max had a knife, and was threatening Ross. I saved him, so he was not harmed. Nice to meet you Maria. I've heard a lot about you from Ross."
As Hackmon and Maria shook hands, Ross blushed and chuckled nervously.
"Anyways, Hackmon. I have these goggles for you. They can transport you back and forth to our world and to your world! You can visit my basement anytime Hackmon!"
"Thank you, Ross. It was nice to meet you. And Maria too."
"You too Hackmon."
Hackmon put on the goggles, and pushed a button. A portal appeared. Maria turned to Ross and said:
"Wait, Ross. Did you to turn off the vacuum effect on the portal?
"Uh-oh."
Suddenly, machines and tools flew around and flew into the portal. Ross and Maria screamed as they flew into the portal.
Ross screamed: "Oh craaaaaaaaaap!"
...5 minutes later...
...Hackmon...Maria...Where are we?
