Digimon Destinies Chapter 2

As Ross walked to class, he imagined vivid thoughts of the great things they could do with the computer game that he found. He imagined himself and Maria playing the game and having fun. The thoughts just kept coming and coming, being more vivid by the second. Ross had not even realized he was smiling for so long.

Later that day...

As he sat in his last class, he looked at the clock and thought to himself.

"2 minutes left. Argh! Why is this happening? Is this some sort of cliche or some crap?"

Ross then started tapping his foot on the floor, slowly. He looked up at the clock again.

"1 minute?! I can't handle it! I need to get out!"

The foot tapping got faster. His face, starting to sweat a little. He looked up once more, in desperation.

"10 seconds?! Yes!"

He started counting in his head, as well as the foot tapping growing faster and louder.

"9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2..."

The whole room froze. The clock moved the hand onto the 12 as if it hadn't moved in ages.

"1..."

Suddenly, the school bell rang, and the world around Ross sped up to normal. His foot bounced him out of his seat, and he jumped up and glee and bolted out of the room. After running a few feet, he realized that he left his bag by his seat. He walked back into the room casually and picked up his bag.

"Sorry Ms. Wellington! I was so hyped up, I forgot my stuff!"

"Well, don't forget it next time, or else I leave it there. Have a good afternoon!"

"You too!"

Ross left the room, and closed the door.

A few minutes later...

Ross walked on the sidewalk, going to his home. He was walking casually, when he heard something run behind him. He looked behind himself, and nothing was there. He shrugged it off and kept walking.

He was only 2 blocks away from his house, when he heard someone yelling at him.

"Hey! Ross! You piece of crap! Come over here!"

He turned around and saw them:

It was Max, The school bully. He rode on his bike towards Ross. He grabbed Ross by the shirt and picked him up.

"You better give me your money or else I beat the snot out of you! And don't screw around this time! That crap you pulled off with the game coins and money? Best that ya don't do that again, because ya wouldn't want ya friends to get hurt, right?"

Ross looked down at Max's pockets and saw the handle to what may be a knife. Ross started to worry, and he started thinking.

"Dang it! Out of all the days I forget to bring my wrench and tools! I could have at least defended my self if I had them..."

Suddenly, the wind stopped blowing.

No sounds were heard except for Max and Ross' breathing. A shadowy figure appeared from the shadows. He appeared before them

The figure seemed to be wearing a cloak, and goggles, just like Ross...

Ross stared at the figure, and then Max snapped at him, now holding the pocket knife.

"Hey! Pay attention bub! This is you and me talking! Not that dude over there!(Holding the Knife up towards Ross' throat) Where's the real money?"

The figure jumped and attacked Max. Max's head was covered in the cloak, as the figure attempted to grab the knife. As Max was flailing, the Knife hit the figures hand, and cut it. Max eventually gave up and the cloak was released off his head.

"D...don't hurt me man!"

Max ran away, tripping, and mumbling.Ross stood, amazed at the figure. The figure turned around, and the cloak revealed the figures true identity...
