I’ve been seeing posts of people saying it’s been snowing and cold where they live and I was wondering is it pretty much super cold for everyone? Because it’s been frosting and snowing here where I live too,,
Please don’t attack me and I know it’s bad but our horses defroster sucks and my dad will not get a new one so I’m having to go break the ice out of the horses water everyday,, and since we don’t have rugs/blankets for all the horses my dad said it’s not fair. And the horses (and donkeys) have been shivering and freezing and I don’t know what to do and their feet have been all clogged up with dirt and snow and they just can barely walk, like Harleys feet aren’t even touching the ground because her feet are all clogged up and I’m worried for them because they might die and my dad just isn’t doing anything about it and I’m getting very very worried for them.. the people who are taking the ponies + donkeys are coming at the end of the year to get them but I think they need to come now.
+ an apology
Sorry I haven’t been posting I’ve been very stressed with school work and problems with friends. And I’ve been stressed about the horses leaving and spots bene going on and I just haven’t been posting but I’ll try to post as much as I can, I maybe will do check in’s on how the horses are on these freezing days but I’m not sure. Again I’m super sorry just a lot of stress and issues and school, but I’ll try to post when I can !

I’m the picture I was trying to take it away from him but he wouldn’t let go :joy: :joy:
The weather has been freezing where I live! The past two weeks it has been in the negatives (like negative teens) and today it was -33 degrees fahrenheit. Tango was getting snowballs in his hooves so I try to pick them out everyday. I heard that putting petroleum jelly or vegetable cooking spray on the bottom of their hooves (after you get the snowballs out) can prevent snowballs but I have never actually tried it.
What is the temperature? Is it at least possible to put a rain sheet on the horses? Do you have a cooler for your horses? You could put a cooler under the rain sheet if you have one.
Putting a ball in the water tank can help prevent the water from freezing up (or so I have heard... I have never tried it).
