Hello guys! In this lesson we will talk about regulars' verbs conjugation
In Latin, as in English, there are numbers which are singular and plural
In Latin there are four classes of verbs' conjugation
FOUR?
Yeah, don't worry there are alike, but we will start with the ones that their infinitive is "-āre"
(fīrmā(á)re) firmare (=Strengthen, fortify, harden)
Present- CLASS II, indicative
fīrmō
fīrmās
fīrmat
fīrmā(á)mus
fīrmā(á)tis
fīrmant
(Here, the second syllable is stressed all the time)
FUN FACT:normally, "fīrmō" would be translated as "I have been strengthening"/"I strengthen" but we prefer to translate it as "I strengthen"
Examples:
Ego aspecto undam ascendere
I watch the wave rising
Tu aspectas undam ascendere
You watch the wave rising
For homework, continue conjugating the "aspectare" (in comments)
Bye bye
