Val is quiet and stays to himself, unless someone else approaches him. While talking to someone, he tends to be very polite and calm with them, but can also get aggressive when someone he knows is in danger. Along with this, he is known to be rather emotional for something he's ionate for. Yelling, screaming, and crying all fall under that category.

Backstory

Etienné had been a quiet child since birth, but this wasn't because he chose to be. When he was born, he had some complications with his brain, which caused him not to be able to speak until he was 7. To this day, he struggles with words sometimes. But, he is getting better. Children at school would laugh at him for his condition, which caused him to fall into a deep sadness for a long time.

His home life was wonderful, though. A loving mother, three sisters, and an outstanding father who taught him everything he knows about mechanical things. Though, that's not where he heart belonged. Instead, Etienné longed to draw and sell art. That or play music. All the knowledge gathered from his childhood made it easy for him to see details. Although his father didn't think he'd make it far, his family ed him all the way.

He had graduated high school being the top of his class and even offered numerous scholarships for university. 5 to be exact. None were from the university he wanted, but that didn't matter. He planned to go to an art show a few weeks after graduation.

On his way to the art show, however, he was jumped by some old classmates at school and dragged out to the woods, left there to die. Though, the Entity felt like it should "save" the boy. A dark mist surrounded him and brought him into the realm of Hell.

Etienné can really get along with anyone around him, since he seems to like a lot of different things and relate to others problems. Although he struggles with words, the young man can communicate extremely well. Very talkative. Usually, Val talks people's ears off until they eventually get annoyed and leave. It's how he has yet to keep a relationship. That and his strong ion for the arts.
