At PAX East today, BHVR have shown a steady stream of content coming to Dead by Daylight.

Hot Fixes

BHVR have acknowledged the buggy release of Steady Pulse and are working on a hotfix to repair the numerous bugs on Killers. It has been delayed slightly to allow them more time to squash these.

They will also be monitoring the grind of the new Quest system.

QoL Initiative Part 1

June will mark the end of Part 1 when all of the remaining QoL changes will be implemented.

Details regarding the Custom Game Improvements included better UI to swap between players & 5 spectator slots.

Five Nights at Freddy’s Live Stream

A Live Stream dedicated to covering the FNAF Chapter will release early-June.

We currently know this Chapter features Springtrap as “The Attraction” & a “Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzaria” Map. It does not feature a survivor.

We don’t have details on his power or perks but we do know a new interactable comes with him.

A PTB will also release.

The Witcher Collection & Chaos Shuffle

A Collection for The Witcher will release on June 3rd alongside a collaborative Chaos Shuffle.

This is not a Chapter but will feature a Legendary of Geralt of Rivia for Vittorio. BHVR have said that his eyes will not glow, however.

FNAF Chapter Release

A “Yellow Rabbit” Legendary featuring Matthew Lillard’s William Afton from the Movie will be available at launch.

It will feature unique voice lines by Matthew himself.

The original outfit will feature voice lines from PJ Heywood.

A unique queue will come with the Chapter’s release, with only the new map in that queue’s rotation. This will be done with subsequent releases.

Boulet Brothers

The Dragula crossover cosmetics for The Huntress & The Artist will be released on July 8th.

Licensed Chapter

The Licensed Chapter for July will release, featuring two Survivors.

BHVR have dropped hints on who they may be throughout the stream, and current speculation points to this being The Walking Dead, featuring Rick Grimes & Michonne.

Unknown Modifier

A Modifier will release in late July, possibly alongside the launch of the new Chapter. This may be Lights Out.

August

2v8

2v8 will return in August with a new change to combat Killer queue times.

Killers who are in the queue will be able to play Survivor 2v8 while waiting. Firstly, this will combat boredom as a Killer waits for a match. Secondly, this will increase the amount of Survivors for other Killers; reducing queue times overall.

We don’t know who the added killers will be.

QoL Initiative Part 2

The 2v8 change mentioned above is part of the QoL Initiative. BHVR have mentioned the details regarding a few of these changes.

Maps & Keys will be changed. Maps will be altered to act like a consumable Windows of Opportunity. The perk might be nerfed to make people more interested in running Maps. Keys will focus on revealing the Killer’s Aura, much like the current Blood Amber add-on, & have a unique interaction with Chests. They will still be able to open Hatch.

MMR will be updated to be more in depth. It will consider what you have done within a trial instead of the current Survive & Kill requirements.

Custom Games will be able to host 2v8 lobbies, even when 2v8 is gone.

While not mentioned, the developers are looking into granting Survivors the ability to see their teammates’ perks.

Lara Croft Collection

Lara Croft will obtain her Classic Outfit & an unknown cosmetic on August 5th.

Frank Stone Legendary

A Legendary “Frank Stone” outfit for The Trapper will release in September.

Original “Asian Folklore” Chapter

The September Chapter will be based on Asian Horror Folklore. It will come with a new Survivor & a new Killer.

Not much else is known about this.

Big Licensed Chapter Release

A Licensed Chapter featuring 2 new Survivors & a new Killer will be release. Not much else is known except that BHVR said it would be “big”.

There are very few “big” licenses left for BHVR to obtain, so many are wondering if this is a sequel chapter like Project W. Existing licenses such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill & Stranger Things could all be considered for sequels. The latter of which has a season releasing around that time & celebrates its “Stranger Things Day” on that same month.

Otherwise, we have speculations such as Predator, Jurassic Park or Jason. The latter of which has recently been resolved of copyright drama.

If this license is as big as BHVR claim, it might be featured in the 2v8.

March

Original Chapter

An original chapter will release, featuring a new Survivor & a new Realm. It will not feature a killer, however BHVR has teased that this chapter will have a twist on an existing killer & has said we'd very much like the realm.

This may be the much demanded Neon City that we saw as a lobby for The Trickster, with speculation being the survivor is one of his old band mates from NO SPIN.

10th Year Anniversary

Choose Your Chapter

BHVR will be involving the community in its process of creating a new original chapter for the 10th Year Anniversary. It will be a series of polls which will decide things like aesthetics for both the survivor and the killer.

It is very much alike those “Decide Your Fate” novels that became popular around the 2010s where you made a choice and would jump to a page to see the result. BHVR has said the runner-up will also be included in the following poll, allowing the community to go back if they believe the other concept is cooler.

We will also be involved in the power & perk design, being able to choose between concepts, & there will be several PTB prototypes of this Chapter for us to play test and suggest changes.
