➳The 9 Model is a FRANXX variant used by APE’s elite task force, the 9’s. Thanks to the their biology as clones of 002, the 9’s possess greater physical and mental capabilities that far exceeds a normal human, and the 9 Model was constructed specifically for them. Taking the appearance of Strelizia Apus, the 9 Model is a high-mobility FRANXX operable in both earth and space without any modifcations; it is easily the best-performing mass-production FRANXX making the 9’s a nigh-unstoppable force for APE.

Though the 9 Models were the figurative manifestation of APE’s iron grip over humanity, the 9 Models would be repurposed for a more heroic cause. Thanks to the 9’s, The 9 Models paved the way for Hiro to take control of Strelizia Apus and destroy humanity’s ultimate threat.

➳Dual-Piloting System

Implemented by Dr. FRANXX during the later stages of FRANXX development, the 9 Model’s cockpit accommodates two Parasites. The system was conceived to distribute the incredible stress of operating the 9 Model among two Parasites, allowing for increased survivability for the pilots. However, both Parasites must be compatible and cannot harbour ill-feelings nor stress towards each other, otherwise, their synchronization will drop and the FRANXX will be rendered inoperable. The 9’s are more unique in that either of them can double as both a Stamen or a Pistil.

➳Magma Lance

The sole weapon possessed by the 9 Model, the Magma Lance is a polearm weapon with a magma blade. It is strong enough to cut through Klaxosaurs with relative ease.
