☆Rantaro and Tsumugi redesigns☆

These two were surprisingly challenging.

Especially Tsumugi.

Along with my redesigns, i would like to reimagine the story, so changing tsumugi means changing the story.

Im just deciding between leaning into the horror aesthetic or the anime more.

:scissors: Tsumugi doesn't have a twin. Instead, i made her an imposter. The version on the left is her out of costume, while the one on the right is her dres as a 'ultimate seamstress'. I will keep her interest in Cosplaying, but i was never a big fan of 'ultimate cosplayer'

:scissors: I took inspiration from the webtoon 'True Beauty' where the protagonist uses makeup to transform herself into someone she considers beautiful. I imagine she would have a rivalry with Miu, where Iruma would tease her that she's not a natural beauty like her.

:scissors: Clothing wise, in her main form (ultimate seamstress) she has tros and gloves on. I chose this to give her a 'showman' inspired outfit. Just a small hint that she is the mastermind.

𓊝The man that you are Rantaro Amami :weary: I leaned heavily into the 'hot older brother aethetic' using inspiration from Rodrick Heffley (diary of a whimpy kid) and Jesse Pinkman (Breaking bad). But i made his clothes a lil slutty :eyes:

𓊝His shirt design is inspired mainly by the brand 'Affliction'. Incase its not clear, the design is a skull with a cannon ball going through its head, sending some teeth flying. And a ship in the background. I also mimicked Leons shirt from dr1 as they are both the first kill. The cannon ball ofcourse represents the shot put ball which kills him and it comes from behind rather than above. The ship is referencing his actual talent of Ultimate traveller (revealed in the extra minigames).

𓊝I took his hair from his beta design and to lean into the darker colour pallet i gave him. I did also darken his skin colour, which i have mixed feelings about. All the characters are heavily implied to be/ most likely are Japanese and i do not want to remove that part of their identity. Every character who's skintone changes, will simply be half japanese.

Next group of 4 are Gonta, Korekiyo, Angie and Tenko. The girls have me sweatingggg... so they might take longer than a week :sob: 🤚
