Hello DRA!

This post is a bit different from any kind of content I actually ever put out (that being when I do that is LMAO) however, I am making this post as unfortunately, as of today I'll no longer be a here on DRA and going to be sent off to the retirement home to never been seen again (/j). In all seriousness however, I'll be leaving the mod team and won't be taking care of anymore moderation related issues at this time. Although I am saddened I'll be leaving, part of me feels relieved as I'll have more time on my hands to pursue more in my real life. Which ultimately in this time in my life is important LMAO.

To explain why I'm retiring though. As of recently I've been very (very) busy and active in my real life. That being personally and in my school life. Both of which take up a large portion of my day-to-day life. Nowadays I have very little time for myself, and when I do I'm often using it for other things. Having limited time means having limited time to even be active in moderation, which takes up a large amount of time and responsibilities, which I can no longer commit to. To me personally, I feel selfish being in a role that I no longer can meet up to par with. It's not fair to me or others, especially when it's a role like moderation where your task is to keep others and the community safe. In addition, with limited time that I have I would also love to spend it more on myself.

Then also, moderation work in itself is also extremely stressful a lot of the time and time consuming. Which has affected my mental health a lot. Being a mod is fun, but it comes with a lot of responsibilities. It can also lead to burnout later if you're not careful (from my experience) to where you don't feel like logging on at all, which is what I'm also experiencing. I could go on and on about this but honestly, I don't want this to be negative. If anyone EVER decides they want to moderate, please be careful and make sure you have time for yourself <3

Thank you to everyone, and of course the community, who has made my experience on the mod team good. For what it's worth, I'll definitely miss being a curator here, but I look forward to what's to come next. So yeah, see y'all on the flip side 🤺
