𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐘
In the heart of a continent long abandoned by maps, surrounded by mountain ridges too jagged to cross and forests too dense to chart, stood Vanthea, the city of brilliance and blood. A vertical empire carved into steel and marble, Vanthea spiraled skyward in layers—each one higher, cleaner, and colder than the last. Beneath its gilded towers churned a million nameless lives. But above, in the tiered sanctum known as Ascension, only the worthy ever tread.
And here, worth was measured not by wealth, not by lineage—but by exception. Talent. Genius. Power.
The Ultimates.
They were society’s elite: surgeons who could cure the incurable, architects who reshaped physics, artists whose work drove entire crowds to tears. There was an Ultimate for everything—biologists, codebreakers, soldiers, puppeteers. Every child in Vanthea dreamed of being chosen. And every adult knew the truth:
Being chosen meant being seen. Being seen meant being judged.
For every year, as the winds turned cold and the city’s skyplate dimmed to dusk, a Ceremony was held. The highest circle of Ultimates—the Council, those who ruled from the spiretop—gathered in shadow to select candidates from their ranks. They claimed it was for legacy. For evolution. For tradition.
But everyone in Vanthea knew what the Ceremony truly was.
The Killing Game.
It began, as it always did, in the Hall of Selection—an amphitheater of mirrored obsidian and moving walls, designed to disorient and impress. Rows upon rows of Ultimates filled the space, cloaked in coats stitched with emblems of their craft, murmuring as they found their seats. Above them, suspended in a rotating prism, were the thirteen crests of the Ultimate Council, burning in golden light.
At the head of the stage stood a vast machine, humming low with power. It resembled a twisted altar, or perhaps a coffin opened vertically, veins of silver circuitwork trailing from it like roots. In its core: a small pedestal of polished stone, holding an array of cards. Each card was blank. Each one pulsed with a quiet, sickly warmth.
And when your name was called—you’d step forward. You’d choose. You’d hold your fate in your hand.
Then the screen flickered to life above the machine.
A seal appeared, stamped in black wax: a cracked crown flanked by knives. The symbol of the Council.
Then came the voice. It was sweet and slurred, almost syrupy. Artificial. Familiar to every soul in Vanthea.
“Welcome, honored Ultimates… and future Ascendants. It’s time again.”
“We’re so excited for this year’s selection! and we have a new game for you all!”
The crowd gave no reaction. They never did.
“One by one, your names will be drawn. When you are called, approach the stage. Draw a card. Accept your role.”
“and—as always, if you do not wish to be picked, you must quickly switch your vote.”
A silence deeper than death followed.
Then, the first name lit up in white letters on the obsidian screen.
And somewhere far below the towers, deep in the sprawl of the city’s forgotten wards, people watched the broadcast with bated breath. Because they knew: this Ceremony would not just take names.
It would take lives.

𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐓 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃
SETTING: THE CITY OF VANTHEA
• The City is hyper-controlled, technologically advanced, and cut off from the rest of the world by massive walls.
• People are raised to believe the outside world is dead (whether that’s true or not is a mystery) though the leaders of the city (which is picked every year from the random ultimates with immense power—enough power for promotion, have stated that beyond the wall there is only forest and vast wastelands, nobody is allowed past the wall.
• Everyone is divided by class, with Ultimates being at the top, revered and feared.
• Each year, an Event is held: the Ultimate Reaping, where chosen Ultimates must compete in a death game.
THE REAPING & NOMINATION SYSTEM
• At the start of each cycle, a public lottery selects Ultimates for the game.
• People can volunteer as tribute OR nominate someone else to take their place—but the decision must be made quickly.
• If you’re nominated, you can only avoid the game by dying before the arena begins or by having someone else volunteer in your place.
THE GAME ARENAS
• Every cycle takes place in a different location or theme:
• A sinking underwater lab
• A corrupted digital cityscape
• A decaying luxury cruise ship
• A labyrinthine cult bunker
• A twisted theme park
Each arena has different rules or twists—perhaps one game requires two winners, another forbids alliances, etc.
THE MASTERMIND TWINS
• Known from the start—breaking tradition from Danganronpa’s secretive masterminds.
• Their existence is part of the propaganda—used to entertain and distract the public.
• Their mascots: Two mascots themed after duality, which will be shown below!
ROLEPLAY STRUCTURE
• Each RPer creates an Ultimate (musician, spy, hacker, botanist, escape artist, etc.).
• They receive “Rules of the Game” once it starts, but some rules change mid-game.
• Mini-events and mystery subplots can be added (a murder not planned by the game, secret tunnels, or old messages from previous games).
• Voting System: Players vote privately on who dies next OR you can use dice draw if you want to remove bias.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐒:
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃
Welcome to the Ascension Towers—an unforgiving monument of steel, glass, memory, and blood. Rising ten stories into a smog-choked skyline, this impossible structure is hidden deep within the heart of a city wrapped in propaganda and silence. Few citizens know what lies inside the towers. Fewer have lived to tell the tale. And now, it is your time to climb.
THE STRUCTURE: 10 FLOORS OF DEATH AND DECISION
The Ascension Towers are comprised of ten vast floors, each functioning as its own unique environment—think less “floors” in the traditional sense and more “realities stacked vertically.” Every floor is self-contained and wildly different from the last. You might wake up in a retrofuturistic arcade, a crumbling cathedral, a flooded aquarium, or a neon wasteland.
Despite their aesthetic differences, each floor includes core necessities:
• Dormitories
• Restrooms
• Classrooms or functional rooms (labs, arcades, arenas, etc.)
• Locker rooms
• Surveillance points
• “Ceremony Chambers” (used for trials and executions)
These shared basics give the illusion of stability—but no floor is truly safe.
THE RULES OF ASCENSION (AND DESCENT)
Each round follows a strict cycle governed by the tower’s master system—and your hosts. This is not a simple deathmatch. It is a game of perception, logic, survival, and betrayal.
1. A Body is Discovered.
• A murder occurs. As always, it’s prompted by a motive.
• A body discovery alert is triggered.
• The players must inspect the scene, gather evidence, and prepare for trial.
2. The Class Trial Begins.
• Players debate, accuse, and vote.
• If the correct killer is voted, they are executed according to their Ultimate talent.
• If the wrong person is voted, the killer walks free… and everyone else suffers the consequences.
3. Ascend or Descend.
• If the correct killer is found:
• All remaining players ascend one floor closer to survival.
• The killer is executed.
• If the wrong person is chosen:
• The killer ascends alone—one step closer to freedom.
• Everyone else descends a floor, closer to death.
4. Final Floor Mechanics.
• If any player descends to floor 10, the lowest level:
• They are considered part of the Doomed Class.
• If everyone reaches floor 10, the game ends in total loss. All players die. The killer survives.
FLOOR THEMES & PSYCHOLOGICAL MANIPULATION
Each level isn’t just a set. It’s a psychological weapon, designed to push and prod at players’ trauma, fears, talents, and histories. Some floors may trigger memories. Others might distort time or play with perception. Expect puzzles, traps, simulated weather, and environment-based hazards. Every floor is crafted to break something in someone.
And the worst part?
No one knows how deep the towers truly go.
SURVIVAL IS NOT JUST ABOUT LIVING. IT’S ABOUT CLIMBING.
This isn’t a game where simply surviving is enough. You must ascend, or be left behind. As more players die, the floors become less populated… and the higher you go, the more the tower knows who you are.
Can you solve the murders before the tower solves you?
Will you rise with clean hands?
Or will you fall… drenched in someone else’s blood?
🕷
𝐎𝐎𝐂 𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒
1. One Character Per Player:
You may submit multiple forms, but only one character will be accepted into the game, later i will discuss twins and what that entails for you as a player
2. No Godmodding or Metagaming:
Don’t control other people’s characters, or use OOC knowledge IC. It kills the mystery and drama. Write as if you have zero knowledge, and be mindful. If your character is more aware than others, you can write that, but the same rules apply even then.
3. Respect Player Boundaries:
Always check in before exploring dark or triggering subject matter in interactions or flashbacks. Same goes for relationships, if your character and someone else's wants to ship, please check in before hand. You CAN have a character have a crush, just no forcing!!
4. Death Is On The Table:
Your character can die. Be prepared and roleplay accordingly. No last-minute refusals or revivals. Though there most likely will be a NON cannon roleplay for dead players!
5. Murder Must Be Approved First:
All kills must be pre-cleared with mods to ensure fairness, balance, and narrative weight. You MUST send in a killing form to the HOST ONLY. this will be private and will not be shown unless asked.
6. Trials Are Mandatory:
If your character is alive during a trial, they must participate. These are the heart of the game. Trials will last around 2 and a half real life days, the second day, the trial will end at around 12pm EST.
7. No OOC Drama:
IC chaos is encouraged, add some drama if you really want to. Though, OOC drama will result in removal depending on the severity, each person will get one strike if so, if it's REALLY serious though; a full time ban.
8. Stay Active:
Inactivity without warning will lead to your character being killed or removed narratively.
9. DMs Allowed for Secrets:
Secret alliances, plots, and messages can be run through DMs. Mods must be included for transparency.
10. Content Warnings Required:
If posting about graphic violence, trauma, or heavy topics, use spoiler tags and content warnings.
11. Seperate Amino!!
this will be taking place on a seperate amino, once you you are prompted to create a profile based on your character and other fun silly things!! this is for creativity
12. Trials
Each trial will have evidence, and this will prompt a Narrative almost immediately, this is the MOST it's going to be used besides in other scenarios, the host will give evidence accordingly.
13. Form
each person is required to be creative /j
have fun with it! describe the post! make a story with it! i wanna have fun with this so be creative PLEASE!
14. Discrimination and language
NSFW/18+ is strictly prohibited, along with discrimination of any kind (Homophobia, Transphobia, racism, etc), you can make sexual jokes just as long as it's light!! bullying or discrimination will give you a ban, please be aware of this.
:bird: ⬛
𝐈𝐂 𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒
1. You Are Trapped:
The only way out is to ascend. And the only way to ascend… is murder.
2. To Ascend A Floor, You Must Kill Without Being Caught:
Killers who commit the perfect crime will be promoted to the next floor. If they’re caught, they die instead.
3. Class Trials Decide Fates:
After a body is discovered, players will investigate and gather evidence. A trial will be held. Vote correctly, and the killer dies. Vote incorrectly… and the killer walks free. While the rest of the group will ascend downward, if the players reach the bottom level after a few killers walk free, everyone will die.
4. If No Murder Occurs Within 3 Cycles, A Random Player Will Die:
Tick, tock. The game won’t wait for cowards. There will be no trial for this, and players will automatically ascend downward.
5. No Killing During Trials:
All murders must occur during Free Time or Night Cycle. Trial violence is… discouraged.
6. The Monokumas May Interfere at Will:
The Hosts may change rules, alter reality, or impose punishments. Scream if you must. It won’t help.
7. Only One May Escape. Or Maybe None.
Who will ascend the final floor? Who gets to live? The rules are subject to change.
8. Relationships Are Permitted. Exploited. Encouraged.
Make friends. Fall in love. Betray them for freedom. The game feeds on hope.
9. Rule Violations Will Be Punished Publicly.
Don’t try to cheat. The Monokumas are always watching.
10. No Suicide Allowed.
Want out? Then take someone with you. Death must serve the game.

MONOKUBS:
Eriakuma
“Oh, my~ what dreadful manners! Did no one teach you not to bleed on the carpet?”
Built by the (???) mastermind, Eriakuma is a bat-themed Monokuma whose presence sends chills straight down to the bone. With the eerie affectations of a Victorian child torn from some forgotten nursery rhyme, they speak in sing-song phrases that twist innocence into something grotesque. They are playful in the worst way—delighting in riddles, punishments, and poetic descriptions of carnage. Eriakuma often treats the killing game as a storybook, calling players “dear little dolls” or “fraying puppets on strings.”
Despite their childish tone, there is a profound menace behind every giggle. Their games are cruel, their patience short, and their fascination with despair deeply intellectual. They view the tower as a stage for “character development,” and nothing excites them more than watching someone break.
They frequently torment their co-host, Vannakuma, with casual cruelty—always masked as “play.”
Vannakuma
“U-uhm… maybe we shouldn’t do this part… Oh. Oh no. Never mind. I-I’ll get the blood mop.”
Built by the same mastermind, Vannakuma is Eriakuma’s reluctant counterpart: anxious, soft-spoken, and frequently overpowered in personality. They are the more “reserved” face of the game—often trying to deliver announcements with professionalism, only to be interrupted or belittled by their twin host. Vannakuma rarely wants violence but accepts it as inevitable. They’re the type to offer tissues after a breakdown or gently apologize before describing an execution.
However, don’t mistake timidity for weakness. When cornered—by players or even Eriakuma—Vannakuma has moments of startling aggression, often accompanied by a glitch in behavior or a full tonal shift. These outbursts are rare, but they reveal something off in their programming… or something deliberate in their design.

𝐐&𝐀
Can you choose a character for me?
absolutely i can! Just give me some options which will include their talent and a small personality overview, and I'll get back to you ASAP!
Can there be twins?
Yes! but please keep in mind this will change the way you play the game. We don't recommend twins, but only ONE pair of twins will be accepted!
Can I have multiple characters?
NO! you can not have multiple, HOWEVER, you can post multiple forms and i will pick the one I think fits the most!
Can my character be a different species?
Characters who are actually a different species? NO. characters who are just emo and THINK they're a different species? YES! I think it adds character :3
Can my character have no knowledge of their talent/ and or be a survivor of a previous killing game?
They cannot have no knowledge of their talent, that is prohibited, however, they can be a survivor, though it comes in waves and they don't exactly it. Though something about the rules feels familiar.

V
The city never sleeps, not beneath the weight of its walls.
From the outside, the tower looks like nothing. Just another monolith in a skyline filled with order and surveillance. But to those summoned, it is a promise—a gateway to ascension, or annihilation. Only the Ultimates walk this path, after all.
Your card buzzed softly the moment you touched it. On the back: a number. Second Floor – Room 106.
No other instructions. Just the sound of your shoes echoing through the lobby’s endless marble.
You push open the door to Room 106. The scent of sterilized air hits first, followed by the rhythmic hum of machines hidden behind polished walls. A long desk stretches across the room. Behind it sits a woman—her face expressionless, her eyes reflecting the fluorescent lights above like glass. She wears no name tag. Her hands are folded neatly.
She gestures without smiling. A single chair waits in front of her.
As you sit, she speaks.
“Ah. Another one of you. Ultimate, are you? Hm. I suppose you’ll do. Let’s begin the screening.” Her tone is flat, but something about her words slithers beneath your skin.
[CHARACTER PROMPT]
(Your character responds silently or out loud. Feel free to include thoughts, hesitation, or actions.)
1. “Name and Talent. No aliases, no embellishments."
[CHARACTER PROMPT]
2. “Do you consider your Ultimate status a gift, a burden, or a sentence?”
[CHARACTER PROMPT]
3. “If you had to remove one sense—sight, touch, taste, smell, hearing—to survive, which would you sacrifice?”
[CHARACTER PROMPT]
4. “How many hours do you sleep, and do you dream? What do you dream about?”
[CHARACTER PROMPT]
5. “Are you taking any medications or receiving treatment for mental, emotional, or physical conditions?”
[CHARACTER PROMPT]
6. “Would you betray someone you care about to live another day? Or would you let them die for you?”
[CHARACTER PROMPT]
7. “…And if you were to wake up tomorrow with nothing left but your Talent, who would you become?”
[CHARACTER PROMPT]
The receptionist jots something down with a slow, deliberate scratch of pen on paper. The silence stretches too long.
Then she lifts her gaze again and nods once.“Your transport is waiting. Do not be late. The tower doesn’t appreciate hesitation.”
You’re guided down another long hallway. Outside, a dark vehicle awaits—its windows blacked out, its door already open. No driver visible.
Once inside, the soft hum of the engine puts you at ease. A low mist begins to fill the cabin. Sweet at first. Then cold. Then—
Everything goes black.
When you wake up, you’ll only one thing:
Your talent, name, and age.
OOC FORM:
preferred name?
pronouns?
Tell me a bit about yourself! what you like to do, have fun with it! you don't have to be completely serious for me to accept you.

Picture of your oc’s appearance? I will accept picrews, though please ZERO ai artwork!! It kills artists and I do not tolerate it.
