Welcome! You can call me Max and I go by any pronouns. This isn’t my first complex roleplay trust :pray: :pray:

I will be honest though, my last ones didn’t work out too well, but it’s been like two years so I promise it won’t be the same :sob:

This project is heavily inspired by the Danganronpa and FNaF games, if you couldn’t tell. Two games that I’ve loved since I was very young.

I spent a shit ton of time on figuring out the lore and writing characters for this, so I hope y’all enjoy :D

In 1970, friends Luis Spector and Oscar Clamor made their dream to entertain a reality when they opened the local carnival, The Spectacles. They recruited five very talented performers to do tricks and shows for hundreds of people. The townsfolk loved them and they grew quickly in popularity.

Over the next decade the carnival gained not only locals but people from across the country that wanted to come see the show. Tickets sold too quick and it got very crowded very fast. Oscar had a dream of turning the circus into an amusement park for thousands to enjoy everyday, but Luis wanted to keep it local. This created tension between them and the Spectacles to be put in the middle of it.

In 1985, Oscar Clamor suddenly disappeared, along with the four performers. There was zero traces of them. Luis was highly suspected for their disappearances but there was not enough evidence to take further action. The carnival was shut down temporarily during the investigation, which turned into a two year hiatus. The town was devastated and worried for what could have happened.

In 1887, after a two year closure, the carnival was opened back up. But it was completely different from what it used to be. It was now a whole amusement park. Fun rides, a variety of games, fair foods, and the most significant change of all… The Spectacles. They were back! But something was off. They weren’t- human? They were replaced with animatronics. Robots with human-like appearances. Parents found it odd but children were all for it.

This was totally different from was Luis wanted. It’s what Oscar dreamed of, so Luis made it a reality in his honor. How sweet!

The business still runs strong even today, but recently Luis has been pretty tired from working so hard on the park. He wants a vacation! So he hired a group of 20 hard-working young adults to keep the place intact while he’s gone.

What could possibly go wrong?

Failing to follow these rules will result in you being escorted and banned from the park.

IC Rules

✰ No littering

✰ Staff must be aware of regulations for rides

✰ Don’t go anywhere that isn’t unlocked

✰ Do not enter Luis’ office unless granted permission

✰ Don’t get too close to the Spectacles

✰ If a Spectacle initiates physical , stay calm, don’t move, and they will leave once they are disinterested.

✰ LOCK THE DOORS AND DON’T LET THEM OUT

✰ If you don’t help clean after 3 days, you’re fired

✰ Employees get free meals and drinks

✰ Don’t insult the food or Minny will leave you a surprise

✰ Employees shall sleep in their designated tents

✰ Don’t make LuLu mad

✰ Don’t talk about previous performers/employees

✰ Make sure to clean up any bodies

✰ All rides automatically shut down after 12am

✰ Don’t stick your hand in the fryer

✰ Don’t do a backflip off an elephant into a pit of fire

✰ If an employee gets away with murder or cleans the most, LuLu will give them Employee of the Eternity

✰ No throwing people into the shredder past 2pm

✰ If a Spectacle is sleeping in your tent then it is not your tent anymore

Failure to follow these rules will result in serious punishment by LuLu. Repeated offenses will result in you being fired and permanently banned from the park.

Traveling

You must travel through chatrooms. You can’t just hop through different ones. Think of it like your OC actually walking through different rooms.

Not only will a map be provided but each chatroom will be linked with what room you need to travel through. For example, if you’re in a hallway chat, the rooms you can access from there will be linked. This makes traveling much quicker and easy to get used to.

Murder

There will be five chapters, not including the prologue and epilogue. If you’d like to be a victim or killer for one of these chapters, please dm the host prior to the chapter. You can still ask once that chapter has already started, but it’s not guaranteed that both options will be open.

If no one signs up to be a victim or killer after 5 days, then I will be choosing anyone who’s been inactive.

It won’t be required to roleplay through the murder, though very recommended for accuracy. Stats will play a major role in creating the case and the evidence, and dice rolls will be used. If both s have different time zones and we can’t pick a time that’ll work for both of you then roleplay will not be an option. In the end it’s just up to the s.

Investigation

Once at least 3 people (not including the killer) have discovered the body, you will all be given 5 hours in real time to investigate. Even if you haven’t found all of the evidence, the show cannot be postponed.

Trials

Trials will be referred to as shows and will take place at night during the killing game. They last from 11pm to 3am in game time. In real time, the trial will last for 2 hours. Time will not be extended unless needed.

Roles

There are three different roles you can sign up for. One being the mastermind (referred to as the ringleader), and two are rats (traitors). If you are interested in these roles, please dm the host prior to the roleplay’s start.

In order to sign up, you must post an application with the tag #TheSpectaclesKGRP under your post. You must fill out each question in both the OOC and IC forms.

You can use two OCs at a time. If you only want to use one and have me choose from two separate applications, please let me know. You may only make two applications. If you make any more, only the first two will be acknowledged.

Once your application has been approved, you will be dmed a link to the separate Amino where you can chat ooc until the roleplay starts.

You keep seeing ments all over the media to work at The Spectacular Carnival for a couple months while Luis Spector goes on vacation. It couldn’t be that bad, if anything it was a long trip to an amusement park that you’re getting paid for! You headed on over to the park during closing time to be interviewed.

Across from you was a young man in a Spectacle Staff uniform. He had some facial piercings and long black and red hair pulled back into a low messy bun. He didn’t look very enthusiastic or interested in you. Of course Luis Spector was too busy to actually interview his own employees.

”Just, have a seat there, yeah- in that chair. So to begin I’m gonna need your name.”

”That’s your *name*? Heh.”

He snickered before writing down on the application.

”Uhh, how old are you? And when were you born?”

He looked you up and down.

”Really? Damn, I thought you were older. What’s your gender and pronouns?”

He rolled his eyes and wrote some more.

”Cool. How’d you get it?”

”Wow, that’s so interesting. Can you cook? Clean? Press a button? That’s kinda a necessity because you’ll be doing A LOT of it.”

”Mhm. Can you also handle keeping the Spectacles intact? Y’know, keeping their stage clean, test running daily. You’ll also have to replace parts on occasion and dust them off up close.”

”If you can’t do any of those then this ain’t for you. It’s really not that hard. The park allows you to bring animals with you but only one. It cant be anything crazy like an elephant. Do you wanna bring one?”

He finished writing and skipped a few pages, you caught a quick glimpse at what they were. They were warnings?? and conditions? It’s just a summer job, so they can’t be that important. He flipped to the last page of the application packet. There it read, ‘Spectacular Entertainment is not responsible for any injuries or accidents and will not be held able. You have read and agree to all of the and conditions.’

”You can go ahead and sign on the line at the bottom. Hand it over when you’re done.”

Not wanting to waste anymore time, you sign it. The boy takes your application and stands up.

”You’ll be mailed a letter if you got the job. I’m clocking out, so, you can leave. Like now.”

You leave the park in hopes of accepting the job. How hard can it be?
