hello hi!!

it's been a long time but i finally decided to

make a blog! I've been a big fan of lost media

ever since I watched my first video of

'blameitonjorge'. I love this subject very

much and find it very interesting! I did my

research and found some lost media

from Melanie!

but first of all...

What is Lost Media??

Lost media describes either a medium (video, audio, photo, letter basically anything) that

can't be found anywhere OR something

that never got shown to the public (very

common for Melanie lost media).

1. Where Do Babies Come From?

Status: found

In July 2014, Melanie posted two videos on

Instagram, lip singing to a song which got

called 'Where Do Babies Come From?'.

Her fans had a positive reaction to the song

and couldn't wait to hear the full song on

the album. However, the song

didn't made it on the 'Crybaby' album.

For many years, the fans only knew these

few seconds of the song and made fanmade

versions of it. On October 10th 2020, the

full version got leaked.

3. Portals Movie

status: lost

On September 6th 2019, Melanie told in

an interview that her next films are already

"planned out", teasing the fans right after

her the release of her album and film "K-12".

On October 27th 2020, Melanie was already

on page 50 of the script for her

film. On May 12th 2021, she sent a draft of

the script to Atlantic Records so she could

get the budget for it. However, in 2024 Melanie said in many comments and

interviews that the "Portals movie" won't

be made anytime soon and she concentrates

on making music videos for every song.

For now, the script and movie stay lost

to the fans. If it will ever be made is unknown.

4. Play Date Music Video

status: lost

in 2020, Melanie's song called "Play Date"

was going very viral on TikTok. Of course,

Melanie used the viral trend and promoted

the song with a hashtag #streamplaydate.

After the Hashtag, Melanie teased that a

music video was in planning for the song.

After that, Melanie was seen on vacation

with her then boyfriend Oliver Tree. Fans

started speculating that they were filming

that music video together in the hotel they

were staying in. Later on, Melanie released

an animated lyric video for 'Play Date', not

an actual music video. Rumors say that

the idea of a music video got scrapped after

Melanie's and Oliver's breakup. However,

nothing is confirmed.

5. Full The Principal Demo's

status: lost

"The Principal" is a song from the album

"K-12". On July 14th 2020, Melanie and her

producer and Ex-boyfriend Micheal Keenan

made a TikTok livestream talking about the

making of "K-12". During the livestream, they

started playing two different demos of "The

Principal", both just 30 seconds long. Fans

started arguing about how the demos sound

better and wanted a full version. Some made

fanversions of the song but the full demos

are still lost.
