Curator Applications

Greetings, of CUA.

As you may have noticed, we have recently had a decline in mod activity, which is why we are officially opening our curator applications. We will be accepting three curators at this time, so only the best of the best will be selected to aid us in moderating this community.

•Must be level 14 or higher.

•Must be 13 years of age or older.

•Must be a member for 180 days or more.

•May have previous experience in moderation.

•Application post must be well organized and pleasing.

In order to apply, you must create a bcluding all of your answers to the application, including the tag #CAPP2020. If you do not include the tag, your application will not be viewed. For the scenario based questions, you will be given a specific scenario that s often come across. Please provide information on what you would do in that given situation.

Basic Questions

1. Do you meet all of the requirements above?

2. How active are you on a daily basis?

3. Do you have any commitments that may interfere with your work as a curator? (Ex. Work, school, etc.)

4. What is your Timezone? (GMT format, please.)

5. Do you have any previous experience in moderation? If so, please state what you have done in the past.

6. Have you ever received any strikes/warnings on this amino? If so, what were they for?

7. Why do you want to be a curator?

8. Why should we choose you, out of all of the other applicants?

9. What do you have to offer to the moderation team?

10. What would you say your best qualities are?

11. What are your strengths and weaknesses? (List at least three of each.)

12. What personal behavioral flaws do you have that may interfere with your work as a curator?

13. What is your current favorite fandom?

Scenario-Based Questions

1. A comes to you saying that they are being blackmailed by another . They have provided minimal proof, so you are unsure whether or not they are telling the truth.

2. Outside drama is being threatened to be brought to the amino. For example, word of a raid has been spreading and it finally came to your attention. The raid is rumored to be started by a previous member who has been banned.

3. Someone is repetitively asking you to feature their post. They continue insisting, seemingly not taking no for an answer. Apparently, you are not the first they have gone to about the matter.

4. You are being harassed by a , who is using very profane words and getting other to form an attack on you. At this point, there are at least five harassing and belittling you.

5. While dealing with a situation, you have to step out and take care of something in your personal life outside of amino. However, the seems to be panicked and in desperate need of help.

6. Your best friend on the amino suddenly starts breaking guidelines. When they get caught, they come to you, asking for you to defend them.

7. You’ve noticed that another mod has begun to abuse their powers. They have been a mod for quite some time and have always done well. However, they seem to have changed their ways.

8. A chat owner has come to you in a panic, claiming that a has begun spamming pornographic images.

9. Another mod has begun harassing a member of the amino. When you approach the mod, they deny ever doing such a thing. However, the in question has proof of the harassment.

10. None of the other s are online, except for you. Several of the public chats have grown out of control, and it is overwhelming.

11. A member of the amino has come to you, seeking guidance. They tell you a very personal situation, perhaps dealing with abuse or harassment.

12. A leader of another amino comes to you, asking for an endorsement and partnership. None of the leaders are currently online, only other curators are available.

13. One of the leaders has given you the task of creating a PSA. You have a certain amount of time to make it, as it is very urgent. However, something has come up in your personal life.
