Brief History:

Asif was born in India and came from a well-known family often spoiled and raised with the belief that he was the best and the life of anyone below him be it a woman's or lower class's was a waste or a means to an end. Married previously, Asif soon desired a chance to leave to the US no longer enjoying the lavish life he had and wanting a more 'glamorous' life in America than here. And he would do that by marrying Rosalin.

Rosalin was born in America as a Native American and Korean mixed girl, living in a strict suffocating home where she'd be bullied and often talked down to whenever she failed to live as the perfect daughter. Finally having enough of it, she would try to run away after they had a vacation in India meeting Asif as she tried to live to be free. The two would marry but end up being very poor, and for a while, they struggled until Asif decided to open his own business using it as a front for more illegal business practices as he grew his family.

When Faqid, the eldest son began to get into arguments with his father, it added strain to the family that got even worse when one fateful night, as Faqid went shopping for wood and flour, he was gunned down and killed, the moment destroying the family but also giving them family a chance to move out. The family would move to Alaska, where Asif would continue his business, but the cracks began to show as the family slowly began to fall apart.

How the Parents Met:

Meeting when Rosalin was young, Asif would manipulate the girl, promising her a better life of freedom from her parents in exchange with being with him. Taking him on the offer the two would be together and abandoning his first wife, Asif would leave to America with Rosalin when she was eighteen, being with her as the two began their life in the city.

Relationship with Eshana:

Asif - Didn't really care about Eshana he didn't plan her so she was always just there. He was more annoyed with her than actually knowing her just sort of tolerating her instead

Rosalin - Very close, Rosalin loved Eshana, but she was a groomed woman who was taught Eshana was wrong. She still loves her to this day but regrets that she wasn't ive of Eshana and wishes she could see her again.

Faqid - Faqid was very close to her as he parented and raised Eshana and Divya, taking care of them with their mother when Asif wouldn't. He planned to get custody of his siblings eventually, and in actuality, he was working with the police to put his father in jail but was shot down before he could. It is a secret Asif never told anyone, and while everyone misses him, his death led to the family's destruction.

Divya - As the elder sister, Divya loved Eshana but was unable to be close as she got married. She never really understood her sister and didn't like her at times but she loved her and losing her was hard on her as Divya feels if she had stayed or didn't get married she could've helped things. As of right now, Divya spends what money she has hiring private investigators to figure out what happened to Eshana as she believes she didn't die in the snowstorm and wants the truth.

Gunbir - Gunbir hated Eshana even when they were kids he liked abusing her and knowing he could do anything to her and get away with it. It wasn't exactly out of any legitimate reason but more on the fact that he could abuse her, and being Asif's favorite child, he was used to never being faced with consequences.

Before:

The family was very dismissive or didn't see the issues until it was too late. Eshana was the youngest daughter. It was very easy to ignore her while focusing on themselves or letting Asif and Gunbir call the shots in the house.

Now:

Rosalin and Divya are grieving and want to find Eshana. Divya hires private investigators to find out what really happened to her, and the two regret everything. They regret not doing enough and would do anything to figure out a way to help them.
