It belonged to a Revenant turned to Lost friend of Nathan, his name was Florence Gordan. After a small skirmish with a few of the Lost, Florence' gas mask took a major hit from a sniper, breathing in miasma from that was in the cavern. After the skirmish, Nathan turned to check on Florence but was already too late. Florence's eyes had brightened red from hunger and thirst, twitching a little before facing Nathan and screaming at him. He charged towards him, Nathan quickly dodging the move as he had no choice but to fight his mentor he had paired with upon his awakening. Hit after hit, slice after slice, Florence was put down but exploded in darkness and blood, transforming into a skinny and long limbed humanoid as his rifle was embedded into his arm. The two continued to fight until Nathan delivered a finishing blow and Florence materialized into dust and cinders, leaving a vestige and rifle. Nate looked down upon the two and grabbed the rifle, feeling somewhat of a connection with it as he smacks the vestige away using the bayonet of the rifle, know what it has done to other revenants.
