Kaneki Drawing

Hello~

Today I present to you a drawing of Kaneki—in both his forms.

Time: 3 hours 30 minutes

Materials: Wacom Bamboo, Macbook Air

Since he’s been such a mood lately, I thought it was time for me to attempt to draw Kaneki. I love his transformation, so I drew him half black hair and half white hair. I tried to make his black haired side blend together with his white hair side while also contrasting it with shyer features.

To be honest, I am not very happy with this one. I think there’s many, many problems with it—from the face being too skinny when you look at it as one whole and the hand being bad anatomy in general to the eyes being too big and the skin shading being strange. My excuse this time around is that I was drawing live for the first time, and felt quite stressed to not keep redrawing the same thing, which I felt would be boring. I wanted to make his white hair side a bit angrier, but that made the face as a whole look weird when put side by side with the happy expression. The whole face also turned out to have a sort of questioning look with the one eyebrows raised.

With that said, I was quite proud that I did manage to scrape that up in the time slot that I did. I usually do drawings over a course of a few days, but this one was done all at once. As always, I’ll try to use my mistakes as exp in my drawing rpg.
