HOW TO- PAPER CRANE

So I was messing around and I was thinking with my ADHD mind that I needed to do something while I was home! So I found a story about 1000 paper cranes and making 1000 grants you a wish ! So today I'm here to show you how to make a paper crane... Cut me some slack it's not going to be the best explanation..

STEP ONE

Get yourself a square piece of paper... I usually find mine by cutting a big piece of paper in half then diagonal fold it to make a square!

STEP TWO

Diagonally fold so you end up with an " X" .. I added dotted lines so you can see where to fold

STEP THREE

Now you're going to want to fold "hot dog style". You can see that there's now another line down the middle!

STEP FOUR

NOW !! You're going to want to fold "hamburger style" but don't undfold from this ! You want to stay like this for our next move!

STEP FIVE

oh boy.. I really don't know how to explain this. Basically you want to fold the pieces together so you end up with a diamond looking shape! ( If there's a better way to describe this someone please help!)

STEP SIX

Fold where you see dotted lines and then unfold . Make sure you're only folding one side of the paper at a time. Then repeat on the other side!

STEP SEVEN

Fold at the top and then unfold ! So there should be three folds now on this diamond!

STEP EIGHT

okay another confusing step is this one! You're going to want to take the top sheet of paper and pick it up . Then fold the sides in so it lays flat ...Do this on both sides!

STEP NINE

Basically fold the sides over and make it look like this ... I really don't know how to explain this ! I'll link a video so you guys get a better explanation

STEP TEN

Fold up the diagonals so it looks like this! They should look like that!

STEP ELEVEN

SOME HOW!! Fold the sides again so they change positions ! Im not that good at this!

STEP TWELVE

Fold the wings down so it looks like this !

STEP THIRTEEN

FOLD THE BEAK SO NOW YOU HAVE A PAPER CRANE

SO THERES A REASON THAT I SHOWED YOU GUYS THIS! Me and my friends used to write notes then fold them into shapes and give them to each other ! Now that Valentine's day is around the corner, write a love letter or reasons why you love the person and send them just a box full of paper cranes! I think this is a super cute idea !
