So I may have gotten a bit carried away with ref sheets for Chickadee's Adventure.
I wanted to draw cats in the Mystic Colony, along with those in border camps. Maybe there are a few more cats in the Mystic Colony (I don't really like limiting myself that much, especially with characters that will most likely never appear except maybe in the bg of some art pieces) but I think I'm pretty okay with the amount of cats I've got.
I tried to make each character as unique as possible, but it gets a bit hard when there are 22 characters. If I missed anything, please let me know!
So, yeah, border camps. These are pretty much filled with the cats you'll see wandering around the world of Cattails when playing the game. Those cats with a randomly generated name, coat color, and dialogue that always show up in the big battles. In CA, they live in camps on the outskirts of the territory. All three Mystic Colony border camps have a guard, a doctor, and a shopkeeper, but none have a leader. When Alisa is not around, they tend to act like one of their own is their leader. These cats are referred to as "unofficial leaders".
So, if you're sick of Chickadee's Adventure, then uhh... too bad this is pretty much all I've got, sorry.
CAPITAL

So this is Chickadee. If you've read CA you probably know her: She's a bit impulsive and irresponsible, but she's also very loyal and determined to protect those she cares about.

This is Lynx's ref. He's a very sweet boy who cares deeply about the opinions and emotions of others. I can't say too much other than that because of spoilers, though.
CLIFFSIDE CAMP
The camp closest to the capital. The cliffside camp is accessed simply by climbing the Swamp Cliffs just southeast of the capital. The cats here have a mostly open view of the sky and often go stargazing together at night.
Moonlight is their unofficial leader.

Mother to anyone and kind to all, Moonlight is a very quiet, serene cat. She remains calm in even the most dire of situations, which is why most cats in the Cliffside Camp act like she's their leader when Alisa isn't around.

Fern is Moonlight's daughter. She's playful and likes to mess around with Apple and Lynx a lot, but she has a great heart and a determined nature, similar to her mother. She looks up to Rat.

Sparrow is Moonlight's daughter. While her siblings often play together, she tends to watch them roughhouse from the sidelines. Sparrow is ambitious, and hopes to become the leader after Alisa.

Apple is Moonlight's son. He's very bold in a "sometimes brave, sometimes stupid" way. Apple hates routine, and he gets really excited at the prospect of doing anything new. Overall, he's just a big goofball.

Spider is an aggressive cat who takes his job as guard very seriously. Unfortunately, it often lashes out at of its own colony immediately, without taking a moment to process what this cat's colony is or if they're on its "side".

Tea is an antisocial cat who, contrary to their name, probably needs some coffee. They avoid talking at all costs, only using their voice for business. Tea's heart is in the right place, and they occasionally do small, nice things for others so long as no one's looking.

Rat is a kindhearted old doctor with a laugh that warms anyone's heart. He loves spending time with kittens and telling them stories of his own kittenhood, and he's formed a close bond with Fern. He knows how old he's getting, though, and has been occasionally teaching Fern the art of healing, as the young cat has started to show interest in his work.
Rocky Under
A natural rock formation forms a bridge that runs over a small ravine. A task board rests on the bridge, and cats have created a makeshift fence to prevent injury. The cats here live in the ravine, milling about in small, quiet groups.
Pool is their unofficial leader.

Okay, maybe not everyone's quiet. It may be possible to literally look right through Zoom, but he makes SURE others are aware of his presence. Like his namesake, Zoom runs about everywhere, often doing tasks on the Task Board. He's the energy of the Rocky Under, and he has a lot of energy to share.

Pool is a stoic cat who is rarely ever amused by anything. Even with a cat like Zoom running around and causing shenanigans, they tend to watch everything with an apathetic face on. He always seems to appear at any cat's side whenever they're hurting, which has caused some rumors of him having some sort of special power. She neither confirms nor denies this.

Recognize this oc?
Patch is a mellow cat who keeps to himself most of the time, but he truly just wants a friend to be with him. Most cats just stop by his store to buy something and then leave; they rarely stop by to chat, and as a result, Patch feels a little dehumanized. (decatinized??)

Claire is a sweet cinnamon roll who took on the job of a guard to try and protect her fellow colony . She's always willing to help and be there for everyone, although she sometimes feels a bit pressured to be in multiple places at once.

We're all the way down to the ungulate twins, two brothers who share a ref sheet!
Pronghorn first! Pronghorn acts really silly all of the time, and doesn't know when to calm down. He also doesn't understand social cues very well, but all the cats around him tend to grow an attachment to him, including his brother, Antelope.
Antelope is a kind, young cat, who does his best to look out for the people around him. He was found alongside his twin brother in a lonely little box, and part of him wants to unravel the mystery of where he came from. He's okay with where he is now, just looking out for his brother and occasionally taking a shift as a guard to let Claire have a little break.
Hidden Cavern
A dark cave is hidden from sight by the shrubbery around it. Not far inside is a small lake, with cats living inside. Light filters down from above through a hole in the cave covered by foliage. The cats down here are usually comfortable in the dark, and prefer to go out at night.
Howl is their unofficial leader.

(Mosquito's ref was created before this whole lineup of refs. That's why his ref sheet also lists his colony)
Mosquito, despite his appearance, is actually quite young. Formerly a Mountain Domain cat, he felt a lot more home in the Mystic Colony's wetlands than he ever did back in the mountains with his sister, Mayfly. He hopes to live as quiet of a life as he can here in the Mystic Colony, and doesn't like to be the center of attention.

Misty is Moonlight's daughter, but she moved from the Cliffside Camp to Hidden Cavern alongside her sister Nightfall because rebellious teenager I guess. She's a snobby, entitled brat who values herself and her sister over everything and everyone else. Maybe she'll become humbler in her later days, maybe not, who knows?

Nightfall is Moonlight's daughter and Misty's sister. Nightfall follows Misty everywhere, and they tend to get grouped up together, but Misty's actually the one who says most of the snarkish comments. Nightfall does in occasionally, particularly when they're with Chickadee, but she mostly settles for just thinking those kinds of mean thoughts towards other cats.

Howl is a blind guard who uses his other senses to detect cats approaching. He had a lot of help with recognizing people from the moles, and he's grown a further connection between the two species. Howl is aggressive, like Spider, but he isn't impulsive. Once he knows he doesn't like someone, his anger towards them is more of a cold, bitter anger that rarely ever stops.
In other words, Howl holds grudges.

Soft marshmallow boi? Fluffy child.
Haha, just kidding. People like marshmallows.
Cloud likes talking about themselves. A lot. He may tolerate a bit of talking about others, but he'll always shift the conversation to be about him and him only.

Crab's just... doing his best. The wild is a loud place, especially when your home is in the vicinity of where Misty, Nightfall, and Cloud live. Crab spends a lot of their time with Mud, who they grew up with and who is essentially their sibling.
Even though he has some... qualms... with colony life, he won't choose to be on his own or with the humans. Whether they like it or not, these cats are their friends, and their fellow colony , and they wouldn't have it any other way.

Mud is a laidback, relaxed doctor who tends to joke around with their patients (often just making silly puns). She does her best to be there for the colony, but it gets a bit hard when there's so much to do.

Pecan's killed someone.
Wow, that's one way to introduce someone.
Back when Chickadee's Adventure was still a comic, all the way back to this episode, there was a single that showed a dead silver cat. This cat was killed in a battle between the Mountain and Mystic Colonies, colonies that have been butting heads more frequently lately, and Pecan was the cat who killed her. It was an accident; he'd meant to go for her leg or her ear or something, but he got her throat instead.
Pecan hasn't told anyone about this. Yet, every day, he wrangles with the guilt of ending someone else's life. And every day, he goes on fighting. He thinks that that's what he has to do, that hunting and fighting are his only options, even with the doctors, shopkeepers, and guards around. Pecan feels like it's his role in the colony, and that it's too late to change it.
But I'm not sure that someone will be able to teach him that's not true before it's REALLY too late.
