Coco landed down harshly. The soft grass beneath him did nothing to slow down the fall. He winced as he tried to get up. He looked at back leg,which was scratched and was slightly bleeding. He ignored it hopped further in to the garden.

‘Finally! Some peace and quiet! My siblings are soooo annoying!” He thought as he enjoyed the soft morning breeze. Coco knew he would probably get punished for sneaking out like that. But he couldn’t care less.

He stared at the insects that crawled around the leaves and watched the leaves fall down. Coco wondered what it would like to be a wild cat. To be wild and free and not have others annoy you all the time.

“Hey,kitty!” Coco faced the direction where the voice came from. He got curious and went over to the fence. Another cats face was looking at him through the hole in the fence.

“Who are you?” Coco asked the cat,tilting his head. His parents told him to not talk to strangers,but when was he listening to what his parents said anyway?

“I’m Sand,little kitty. You seem bored. Wanna come outside with me for a while? I will bring you back home before sunset.” Sand offered. Coco smiled and nodded. Finally he would go outside of his stupid house for once! Sand gestured for him to go through the hole,which barely big enough for him to get through. He was so excited he ran-

He squeaked when someone picked him up by the scruff. He struggled before realizing it was his mom. He looked up and saw that his mother wasn’t pleased. Not at all. Coco watched his father growl at Sand before turning to face him.

“What did we say about sneaking out and talking to strangers young man?” His father asked an angry look on his face. “To not go out without your permission.” Coco said,still glaring at his father. His mother put him down. “Now sweetie,other cats can be dangerous. As sweet and charming as they may look,they might be planning to kill you. Please don’t talk to cats like that again.” His mother said softly. Coco muttered a small ‘sorry’.

“Come on now,let’s go.” His dad said. His mom nodded. As Coco followed them back home,he was very mad. Why couldn’t he explore and be free for once?!
