Prickly Pair: Analysis/Eye Opener

:smiley: Alright everyone, J.C. here, and if you don't know what I love doing, I love making breakdowns of Cartoon episodes, and I have been doing it strong for one year now, so before I get into this one, 🤗I just want to take a moment and think about how far I have come, seriously my very first breakdown is almost a year old now, it was a Together Alone one and if you want to go see it for yourself,🙄 go ahead but I plan to do a seperate post where I humliate myself on how bad it is, because believe me it is bad it is not anything like what I write now, :grin: and I am glad I have grown and evolved in my writing since then.

:sweat: Well this is my last breakdown of the year, let me just say I have had alot of fun doing this so far and I am happy to say that I will continue to do this with more Cartoons, don't want to spoil anything, :wink: but how does reviewing Infinity Train Book 2 sound to you guys, or heck Owl House? Ya'll get excited because this is only the beginning.

:wink: So on a Steven Universe Future related note, this episode picks right off the problem the last episode ended off with, and that is that Steven is exploring what he wants to do for the rest of his life, and he chose planting,🤨 but he gave all the Plants names that corralate to his friends, except these won't leave him ever, at least that is what Steven thought *ahem*, :confused: I found this really wierd to be honest but I think that is the direction that that they are trying to direct us to, :fearful: Steven needs help big time.

:neutral_face: Well the Gems were concerned about this approach, but if Steven is so positive he wants this that why not let him? Even though Garnet already knew what was gonna happen, 🙁she let it happen, she was always the one to let Steven learn for himself, that and she does not like messing with the timeline.

:no_mouth: So Steven just regrets doing this as soon as the Gems leave him to it, he says they are not even impressed at his new thing. He did this for attention too, really Steven, you- :no_mouth: Steven was doing this for attention aswell, seriously child. Anyways he pricks his finger and most people thought he was gonna bleed on the cactus I don't know why, :worried: but it happened, I was not scared though.

:frowning: Then the Cactus comes to life of course and let me tell ya as soon as I heard that thing talk I knew this was not gonna end well, :confused: but it was not their fault overall so I overestimated this small problem.

🤗At least the Gems look more like a family now. The part of how Cactus came to life was pretty great to me I really like how Amethyst delivered "A likley story" 🤣it was good. Also what is up with fandom names becoming cannon, :neutral_face: they got Bluebird Azurite and now Cactus Steven, at this point I wouldn't be surprised if that Big Worm from the Intro really is Steven *chuckles* :confounded: oh boi, are we in danger of being right.

:worried: This whole Scene just shows how much Steven needs to open up more about his status, he trusted something that he thought would not respond back, 🙄Cactus Steven did not respond back but it did react. Steven just wants everything to be back to normal, :neutral_face: he is not used to the changes this new world has brought him.

:grin: I like how Steven literally named the whole town after plants, I mean this man really got problems, he also has Nanafua up in there. Now when Cactus Steven started talking I was not really all to excited, :confused: I kinda knew this is where the episode would take a turn, and well honestly I was scared, because this has been the first time this has happened,☹ and with Steven new is never good as we all know.

:relaxed: I love it when Pearl gets all motivated like this and then Amethyst pulls the smug faces, it's a great interaction none the less. I like to think of Cactus Steven as being that Steven can't shut up within himself, 🙄as when he attempts to do it he gets picked by the needles, the point is Steven can shut himself up about his feelings all he wants, :expressionless: but he could not do that with this Cactus and it was spraying everything Steven told him.

Then that made Steven aggrivated, which makes him pour even more stuff into this creature, :neutral_face: and this scene does say alot about how much Steven has changed, he used to believe the Gems could take on anything, he always went to them for help, :expressionless: but here he calls Pearl an emotional mess, Garnet a big advice giver and calls Ametyst immature when he himself said all those years ago that she was the most mature. :confounded: That really just broke me honestly, all thier development, lost becuase Steven said so, oh wait what's that? :hushed: The Gems are still the same despie this revelation, well alright then!

:innocent: All we need now is for Steven toget some therapy and Future will be complete, but here Amethyst tries giving him the second best thing, to get Steven to open up about himself and remind him he is not alone, :pensive: but Steven just pushed her aside and says everything is fine with him. I really love Amethyst as a character, :bow: ‍♂hands down my favorite development in the show has to be with her, and this scene really gives to those full time Amethyst stans out there.

I mean, *ahem* :neutral_face: Pink Steven came out simply becuase Steven just got annoyed, just goes to show it does not take much to make Steven angry, :fearful: he can pop at any second and that is what scares me to the core.

:frowning: At least Steven showed restraint when Pearl came by and this Pink Steven thing evolves into something more, I feel like that restraint will coem in handy, 🤔the love for his friends and family will come in handy and I feel like I know where they can go with this, :wink: so I guess wait for theory post people.

🙄I got off track from the episode, my bad, anyways Cactus Steven goes rouge and Steven tries to be physical with him but as we know it does not work, 🤨and I found that detail very interesting, Teen Steven is not afraid to get physical and back then all Steven did was talk, :grinning: of course more on this as the episode ends, almost done everyone.

:disappointed: Cactus Steven is just a manefestation of Steven should be doing with himeself, even if it may cause them a little damage by dumping things on them, The gems will be able to handle it, :triumph: but Steven does nto see it that way anymore.

*dies* Have some cursed shots I guess, 🤣this fight was also amazing but the faces that were born here are priceless, they going off model on purpose again and I love it.

:smiley: I really like that this creature slowly became the monster from the intro and did not just automatically became one, it was shaped because Steven made it that way, it soaked up everything and realized life was bad!

🤨It took Steven this long to realize he was the problem for making it think that life was the worst by getting to emotional and physical with it.

:wink: The real route was always words something that Steven shyed away from this entire episode, something he used to do all the time as a child it was his motto, :astonished: no problem could be solved with out words with 14 year old Steven, but Teen Steven, let's say he does not that anymore, but it worked with this episode, :grin: of course Cactus Steven did wreck the front porch as he left but who's to they won't fix that during the hiatus?

:neutral_face: The episode just ends on a sad anonomyous note, it just ends here almot out of nowhere, completly unresloved and Steven still has problems. :expressionless: Look here if you think this was the last episode of Future you are dead wrong, not to make you feel called out but come on we still need to see two more villians from the intro, :confused: we still need to resolve little small things sprinkled in Future it's self, but most importantly, Future will not be the same when it returns, it will be draker :grin: , it will be funnier a good blend of both things, who know how this hiatus will last but I am ready.

:wink: Speaking of the hiatus yes we are in one right now, but you can put the shrines back down for now. Future is not over just yet, 🤔but I don't think we have to much left so be vigilant and enjoy it everyone, but until then, :smirk: thank you for reading and I will read ya later :wave: .
