The five huge shadow beasts were vanquished once again and the city was preparing for the sending in honour of those who had given their lives in the battle. All that was left was the sending ceremony and then she could go back and look after her beloved again.
Standing on her balcony high above the city and watching everyone work for the ceremony, the angel sighed and turned to the sunset. "Such beauty at such a sad time..." Yes the battle was won, however lives were lost and such matters always weighed heavily on her mind. The destruction around her as she watched them fall, it was almost too hard to bare.
As wind ruffled her wings and blew through her hair, the angel watched over the city with wandering heterochrome eyes. She stood as a watching sentry, guardian angel over the people and fearless High Paladin who took down any who meant to harm them. It was her duty amongst all others and therefore it always pained her to see them die when she was supposed to be protecting them.
With her delicate looking but incredibly strong mythril armour and her platinum circlet with a gem holding houndreds of colours, the angel looked like that brilliant leader she was. However, she do not feel that way. Losing men in the heat of battle never got any easier for her, even as she went into more battles and gained more experience. The king always told her to only the good, but in her heart she blamed herself for not being able to keep them alive.
"I'm a terrible High Paladin.."
