who is dionysus?

As many of us know Dionysus is a greek god and one of the 12 olympian gods. He is well known as the god of wine, madness and parties. His symbols are thyrsus, grapewine & ivy. He is also the son of zeus(king of greez gods) and a mortal Semele.I hope you all got the basic idea of who Dionysus is

what is the song about?

many might think this song is about partying and drinking alcohol but no this song is about getting drunk by art the art of singing, the art of performing on stage.

in the 1st verse rm says to get drunk and that art is also a form of alcohol and he also makes a reference by saying his mic is made up of ivy and rough wood as Ivy is one of the symbols of the god dionysus

the song continues by yoongi saying how he was born as an idol and reborn as an artist which I think is a reference to dionysus the god of wine as he is known as the twice-born

Suga also goes on saying what matters if he is an artist or an idol and art at this level is over drinking. He also says that the new record is fight against one self. And he also says how he is still thirsty

through out the song they are partying with thyrsus in one hand and crystal cup in another till the sun rises they are also making a comparison of singing and drinking

my thoughts on this song

first of all I really loved the vibe this song had as I do love fast moving songs so much this song had me all jumping/dancing even tho I have no dancing skills

second the lyrics they were beautifully written in the way that everyone will fall in love with it.... The reference with Dionysus was great. Even joon shared his views on this song by saying "the joy and pain of creating something"

many might have had a misconception about this song mostly international-armys as this song keeps repeating "drink it" many might have thought this song is about getting drunk and about parties which it actually isnt its

understandable as not all of us know korean and the eng lyrics keeps on saying drink it but once you read the lyrics you'll definitely love the song!

as we all know bts lyrics are known for their great meanings this is definitely one of those songs with good meaning it's hard to find a meaning full song with a fast beat but if you are looking for one you are in the right place cuz dionysus is the song for you!
