It seems a lot of people nowadays can't differentiate between the words fan and stan.
So I Googled and this is what I found out.

Nowadays, the word stan is used as a verb casually.

How I understand it, someone can be a fan of many groups or artists or other things. But, if that person is more invested in an artist (or anything or anyone) and spends more time, energy, money, focus on it/them (sometimes to the point of obsession), then the person is a stan.
In my opinion, a person can be a fan of many artists/groups. Saying you stan a lot of people is not possible because stanning takes a lot of energy, time, finances and focus that your life almost revolves around it. It might drive you bankrupt or ruin your life.
Then again, you can have your own opinion.
This blog only aims the the meaning behind the two words and where the word stan originated.
So, are you a fan or a stan?
