Leather Seat Solitude
I sat alone in a café,
Sipping on my hot cocoa,
Fog covering my glass,
Listening to quietness
In my heart,
Yet murmurs in the air,
Breathing of strangers around,
Still snuggling
In the leather seat.
Fast footsteps ing by,
Cars hustling to their destination,
Thoughts jumping around,
Trying to calm the inner storm
With words from ink and
White background.
With the last glowing ray,
The tick of the old clock
Shows the time is over—
For another time,
With new pages to finish
In my never-ending book.
