How would you handle a situation where you develop romantic feelings for a close friend, but you're unsure if they feel the same way? What would be the best way to approach this without jeopardizing the friendship?

U loveeee someoneeee     whoooo issss ???????????
i liked a best friend of mine a few years back and i just went for it. it was kind of impulsive, i was also down bad then so i feel like we both knew it wasn’t coming from a place of true feelings. so we just stayed as friends, and we’re still very good friends. so i guess it depends, in this case i felt like our friendship (bc we’ve been friends for VERY long) wouldn’t fall apart if i were to confess so i just did it. without a second thought.
It's good to know that honesty can work without harming the friendship.

yes 🥹 i feel like in most cases, it won’t do much to the friendship. maybe you’ll be awkward for a few days if it doesn’t work out, but they will understand.. as long as you can accept wtv the answer may be.

Totally agree. for your perspective!"
I’m in a situation like that right now but I decided to keep quiet. If they like me, they’ll tell me! Do whatever makes you comfortable :) If you’re too scared, I wouldn’t tell them unless they show a bit of interest
Thank you for sharing your perspective! It's comforting to know I'm not alone in this situation. I'll take your advice to heart and try to gauge their feelings before deciding how to move forward. Your means a lot!"
