Five on one isn’t a fair fight, unless that “one” is the Golden Maknae!

In Episode 85 of Run BTS!, Jin, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, and V faced off against Jungkook in a floating obstacle course.

Jungkook rules supreme at physical challenges, but if his hyungs band together, they can defeat him…right?

Absolutely not. What nonsense! While Jungkook was flying through the course, his opponents were slipping…

…and sliding…

…and falling…

…and sinking…

…and faceplanting. (Ouch!)

When time ran out, Suga declared that there were no losers in this game. After all, every single one of them had to defeat the course itself!

They say you’re your own worst enemy, and nobody knows this better than Jin!

In Episode 85 of Run BTS!, Jin and four other faced off against Jungkook in a floating obstacle course.

Aside from a tiny slip, Jin got off to a strong start, but it was all downhill from there.

When Jin saw Jungkook going full speed ahead, he chased after him — and wiped out!

Jin had no problem climbing this bouncy tower, but getting back down…was a struggle.

For one brief, shining second, Jin had the advantage…then it was gone. Jungkook jumped off his boat, into the water, and Jin had to run the gauntlet again.

It didn’t go well. Jin slipped, he slid…

…but he never gave up!

If a “Most Pummelled Player” award was up for grabs, Jin would definitely win it.

Say the word “challenge” and, like magic, BTS will appear! The love putting their own spin on internet challenges, sometimes literally.

In Episode 85 of Run BTS!, the slipped and slid through a water gauntlet then recharged by eating a delicious meal.

At one point, V wandered off to grab a water bottle, but it wasn’t for drinking. He invited his to do the “Bottle Cap Challenge”, a viral craze where participants kick the cap off a water bottle without knocking over the bottle.

Jimin, who has a black belt in Taekwondo and expert-level coordination, rose to the challenge. His kick was perfectly executed, but way too powerful!

The bottle went flying…

…and sprayed the cameras!

Next up was BTS’s other black belt holder, Jungkook. He warmed up with a practice kick, then annihilated the challenge!

Jungkook’s kick was fantastic, but the best part might be his hair flip at the end. (Oh, yeah. He’s gorgeous.)

As for V, he didn’t win the challenge, but he got all the points for being cute!

On August 9, BTS‘s V released “Winter Bear”, a soulful English-language track with a self-directed music video. In the MV, V takes in the beauty of the world around him and sings soulfully to listeners.

V has not shared the story behind his lyrics yet, but “Winter Bear” must be very special to him because he has tied several important parts of his life to it. He released the song on the third anniversary of “I Purple You” and wrote his photographer/artist signature, Vante, into the title.

This cover art also had a special story behind it.

In Episode 85 of Run BTS!, the played a manito game where they exchanged presents. Many of the presents were gag gifts, but Jimin‘s was sentimental.

At the time of filming, “Winter Bear” had not been released, but V had shared it with his . Jimin fell in love completely in love with it and he showed it by giving V two bear figurines.

These are the same bears V used in his cover art!

V was completely touched by Jimin’s thoughtfulness…

…and so is ARMY! Now “Winter Bear” is even more meaningful

BTS‘s Jimin is so squishable and sweet that ARMY wants to protect him from the world. Sometimes though, “the world” is his own !

In Episode 85 of Run BTS!, the played a manito game where they exchanged presents. Their presents ranged from gag gifts to thoughtful keepsakes, but BTS also gave something to ARMY: the gift of laughter!

A lot of that laughter came at Jimin’s expense and, unsurprisingly, Jin started it. He walked toward Jimin with a gift…

…then psyched him out at the last second!

Poor Mochi. He had no idea that this “Trick Jimin Party” was just getting started.

Jimin looked hopeful when V retrieved his gift, but it was a package of lies wrapped in more lies. V tricked Jimin and J-Hope at the same time!

Jimin begged his to stop teasing him. So, they didn’t.

RM toyed with Jimin’s heart…

…and Jungkook did too!

Finally, after being tricked four times, Jimin finally got his gift. It was well worth the wait.

J-Hope gave Jimin a specially made album for “Promise”, complete with jacket photos and a personalized message.

After being deceived so many times, Jimin deserved his happy ending!
