On November 9, BTS received 3 new certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America.

The RIAA tracks and certifies record sales for the purpose of awarding coveted Gold and Platinum awards. A Gold Record is awarded for 500,000 singles or albums sold. The Platinum Record, introduced in 1976, is for sales of 1 million or more.

BTS now has a total of 5 RIAA certifications.

BTS is now the first Korean act to have an album certified GOLD by RIAA.

BTS is also now the first Korean group to obtain PLATINUM certification by RIAA.
