𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐥𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟎 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐬

Long, long ago, there ruled 6 gods up in the Great Cloud. Elijah, the God of Flames; Pink, the God of War; Cambrica, the God of Darkness; Illusive, the God of Water; Jones, the Goddess of Love; and Silver, Ruler of the Crabs.

All was peaceful in the Great Cloud— until an argument broke out between the 6 gods over who was the mightiest among them.

This dispute erupted into a 1,000 year war among the gods. To this day, it is unclear who won, as once the war had ended, the Gods split the land which they all ruled into 6 domains.

The Realm of the Flaming Sword,

The Nation of Strengthened Gauntlets,

The Land of the Eternal Hammer,

The Plane of the Immortal Scythe,

The Realm of the Shining Blasters,

and The Nation of the Resilient Axe.

But now:

The war has begun once more. The gods have some unfinished business about them, and it is up to you all to end this war once and for all.

Who is your god? Who will you fight for?

The Brawlhalla Amino Olympics?

Open from April 18th to May 21st, 2020.

So you’ve made it. Welcome aboard. You’re here to fight the war among the gods that they couldn’t finish all those years ago. You’re here to show off your creativity, knowledge, and strength in a series of 5 events known as the Olympics.

I can’t give away all of the answers now, but I can certainly give you some crucial information and mechanics to this event!

But first, some technicalities. Bear with me. This is the boring part, but it’s the most important part of this whole post.

First up: the rules. These rules must be followed at ALL times, otherwise, you’ll be disqualified.

1.) Don’t copy or steal anybody’s work/entries!

2.) Keep your entry related to the challenge!

3.) Treat everyone fairly and with respect, regardless of what team they’re on.

4.) Only your first entry will be eligible to win Top Three on your team, but all other entries beyond that will be eligible to earn “givens.” (I will explain what all of these mean shortly.)

5.) All entries must be Brawlhalla-related, and follow our community guidelines.

6.) Team may collaborate on an entry! It will count as an entry for both teammates. If this entry wins a challenge, both teammates will get the winning points.

7.) You don’t have to enter every challenge, but it will increase your chances of winning.

8.) Do NOT go into other team’s chats, nor read through them. You will have points docked off of your team if you are found doing so.

9.) Don’t change teams once the Olympics have started!

10.) You may only ONE team! If we catch you in multiple chats, you will be disqualified.

11.) When you a chat, you have to put the team name behind your name. That way, we know which team you are a part of. (Example: elijah. [team sword!])

12.) Don’t forget to use challenge hashtags when submitting entries! Each challenge has a special hashtag for every team. Put that hashtag into the post so that judges can find the entry!

13.) Have fun! :)

Next thing: entries are now closed for ing a team! If you are not currently on a team, or on the roster for a team, you may not the team chats! You are more than welcome to spectate and enjoy the festivities from the sidelines, but you may not participate. We apologize! Maybe another time.

Okay. I know what you’re all asking.

”Elijah, how do entry submissions and points work?”

Well, I’m glad you asked. Allow me to explain.

On a set date, a challenge/event will be posted. In that post, will be a description of the challenge, the prompt, the prizes, the amount of time you have to complete the challenge, and the hashtag that corresponds with it.

People from different teams (there can be entries from multiple people on one team!) will then prepare and submit their entries (using that challenge’s hashtag!) or complete the task at hand.

Each entry submitted for a challenge will give their team 5 points by default (hence the term “givens”).

Once a challenge closes, there will be a 2 day judging period where the judges will choose their top 3 entries from each team. Since there are 6 teams, 18 entries will be picked total. From those 18, the judges will pick a first, second, and third place winner for that challenge.

Each winning “place” has a fixed amount of points tied to it, and that number of points is given to the team from which the entry in that place originated. (So say that someone on Team Sword wins first place in an event. They’ll receive 20 points for winning first, and those points will go to Team Sword.)

1st Place in a Challenge:

20 points for your team

2nd Place in a Challenge:

15 points for your team

3rd Place in a Challenge:

10 points for your team

The team with the most points at the end of the Olympics overall will receive a prize, and the top three who scored the most points for their team will get prizes of their own as well.

Okay, I get it. Now, you may be thinking:

”Elijah, what’re the prizes for winning the Olympics?”

Well, sweet children. The answer is quite simple.

Every member on the winning team of the Olympics will receive 100 Amino Coins and the title, “1000 Year Victor”.

The Top Three point-scoring points on that winning team will also receive an extra 150 Amino Coins, as well as the title “Olympiad ‘20”.

Pretty sick, right?

Alright. That SHOULD be everything? I don’t think I forgot anything? The post with the events will go up shortly. But for now— I think that’s all.
