OHAYO GOZAIMASU ٩(●ᴗ●)۶
It's ya boi, Ts and I watched 152 episodes of 6 different romance animes, that's 53.7833333333 hours, which is about 2 full days and 6 hours of anime.
I hate myself so much right now.
Originally I was doing this ironically and for fun, I just chose 6 animes that looked like trash to me. And then
Egg the :telephone: said I didn't post enough and now out of spite, I've been posting fairly often.
So I thought it'd be a good idea to review the animes I watched, and this post is gonna be major spoiler free. If I say anything about the plot, then it's just the basic plot. Oh btw, all these animes can be found on Hulu if you have that.
Also after I finished typing the first review I realized this is going to be way too long so I'll post these separately and then link them all in a wiki or something.
So before we start the review, you must ask yourself if a book is nothing more than a painting of words, which are the notes on the tapestry of the greatest film ever sculpted.
Done? Did you think long and hard about that? Alright cool let's move on.

Dear lord I crave death
Guys, this anime has 24 episodes and they're all 15 minutes long. AND LIKE, 20% OF EACH EPISODE WAS ACTUALLY PLOT. THE REST WAS FAN SERVICE, and when I say fan service I don't mean a cute fireworks scene during a summer festival or something.
I mean like, straightforward, no holding back, kinky stuff. It's so close to being hentai it's scary.
Alright so basic summary of the plot
Season 1
Yui, daughter of a priest, moves into this big ol gothic mansion. Uh oh! There's 6 other people that live in the mansion and PLOT TWIST, they're all brothers attending high school, but also PLOT TWIST, they're vampires. Yui finds herself to be a sacrificial bride sent by the church her father works at and her dad actually adopted her and she's basically used for her blood by all 6 of these monsters. Traditional anti-vampire weapons (garlic, sunlight, etc) don't work, and if she tries to leave she dies, and if they drink too much of her blood she could also die. Also there's this ghost lady that's a real jerk.
Season 2
Yui's still at the mansion, except she's been kidnapped by 4 other teenaged vampire guys and taken to a DIFFERENT mansion. The Sakimakis (season 1 dudes) are just really frustrated, and the Mukamis (new guys) keep talking about Yui being the "Eve" and becoming the "Adam". Also, a little bit of werewolf screentime. Also the sexual assault continues.
So here's the good things about the anime:
•The first OP is pretty catchy ngl
•Character designs are actually pretty good
And here's the bad things:
•The episodes are only 15 minutes long
•There is barely any time for any plot, there are plot holes, and plot opportunities lost
•The Sakimaki family sucks ass
•The Mukami family sucks less ass but ass nonetheless
•The whole thing is just super uncomfortable to watch
•The characters themselves are horribly written
1. So when I say plot opportunities lost, lemme explain. There was an episode were Yui had a chance to escape, but she decided to stay because she wants to find out why the church is sending sacrificial brides and learn more about her adoptive father. Which actually sounds like it could be a really cool plot thing.
BUT THEN SHE DOESN'T AND THE WHOLE STORY REVOLVES AROUND HER HAREM AND THE gHoSt LaDy.
And the whole church sacrificing girls to known vampires thing was never mentioned again and they moved on.
2. The Sakimakis suck so much. First of all, THEY JUST ASSAULT HER EVERY EPISODE AND IT'S SO GROSS AND THEY'RE ALL SADISTS AND IT'S SO KINKY AND THEY'RE SO MEAN. Second of all, they all hate each other. It sounds normal because they're brothers and stuff, but the thing is it's actually really sad to watch. They're so cold and toxic to one another and the whole icy attitude among all of them never gets resolved in the anime, and this seems like a terrible move on the writer's part because I think it's safe to say girls like connections. I'm not a k-pop fan, but I've heard koreaboos talk about the connection between the guys in their boy bands and the way they interact draws them in. So to have all the brothers hate each other and never talk to each other or talk about one another seems really dumb and honestly just makes me depressed for them.
3. The Mukamis are way better. They have a more friendly and familiar chemistry between them. And listen to this, in season 2 where it was only Yui and the Mukamis
there was more story than blood sucking
and it's a Christmas miracle. I would explain why, morally, the Mukamis are better than the Sakimakis but that would mean I would reveal major spoilers so you have to believe me when I say morally, they're better. It's much easier to like the brothers when you see them casually interact with the protagonist. It's easier to like them when they act like an actual family and have a positive bond between all of them. However they still suck.
4. I'm not going into detail about the fan service and the blood sucking. You could probably look up the scenes on youtube or something. When I was finding the cover images for the anime I WAS ON AN INCOGNITO TAB BECAUSE I'M SO SCARED OF FINDING SOMETHING I SHOULDN'T HAVE
5. I don't think I've ever hated a main character as much as I hate Yui. She is the most weak willed, boring, mary sue character ever put into a harem anime. She's like this super flat, uninteresting character that only frustrates you. And in harem animes, what makes the characters in the harem stand out from each other is their character design and their personality. In season 1, the variety in personality types sucked. Half of the characters felt like the same people with a few generic characteristics. The Mukamis did way better than the Sakimakis. They all have very different personalities and they're also different than all the Sakimakis. However, none of the characters were really developed on other than Ayato (season 1) and Ruku (season 2), which I guess would make sense since it's a harem of 10 and counting (there's several games with new characters) and they're the main 2 from their families.
And I just want to let you know that 8 of the 10 guys voice at least one JoJo character and Kanato (purple haired yandere with plushie) is voiced by Todoroki.
Oki thanks for reading, except you Dan
Love you all, except you Dan
Sayonara! (´;ω;`)
