The Competition

This competition will take place in Plato. If you want to participate, you will need to the app and make an . You can it here for iOS s and here for Android s.

Everyone is gonna play a series of untimed games. We are gonna be using a DOUBLE ELIMINATION tournament bracket format depending on how many people are gonna compete. A double-elimination means that for someone to get completely eliminated, they have to lose twice. No more single eliminations. Everyone gets a second chance :D

Here's the format IF there were only 8 players.

It may look confusing, but I'll be there to organize the whole thing. I'm gonna make a chat for all the participants and I here and on Plato, and I'll send updates on the scores and matchups.

Last year, everything was confusing in the chat because so many people were texting at the same time. This year, I have a system to avoid any more confusion.

Tournament will be held March 29th, Sunday, 5am GMT+8.

Keep in mind that my time zone is GMT+8. Here is a clock that shows the exact time in my time zone.

If you still need help figuring out what time it'll be in your timezone, just ask me and I'll help you.

The tournament will keep going until all the matches are done.

I can't list people who say they're gonna the tournament but never show up at all. It messes up the whole bracket. Having your name on this list means you've reserved a spot in the tournament and can even if we reached the maximum limit of players.

If you don't want to participate or just don't know how to play chess but still want to watch the games and your friends, you can the Plato chatroom by telling me your Plato ID and that you want to watch the tournament. You can me by commenting here or just PM me.
