Carrie is an horror novel by author Stephen King. It was his first published novel, released on April 5, 1974, with a first print-run of 30,000 copies.

Story

The book is about a high school outcast known as Carrie White who is made fun of by many kids she grew up with at school and has to deal with a over religious mother who tortures her at home. Since Carrie was three years old, she had the power of telekinesis which allows her to move objects without touching them. She would later use these powers to exact revenge on the high school kids that would pull a devastating prank on her at her high school prom.
