⚜⚜ ⚜⚜ ⚜⚜ ⚜⚜ ⚜⚜ ⚜⚜
The wind blows, the river flows.
The fire glows, the earth shows.
A flood of red, a whole army dead.
As their leader proudly stands.
With blood covering his hands.
Amidst the dark woods, fate was unkind.
Trapped these men, it reaped their mind.
The one who guided them all is alive.
He hunted Yatagarasu in order to thrive.
He soon will discover what’s yet to arrive.
Yatagarasu was a symbol of curse, disease.
By all the means, people wanted it to cease.
The black feathers, the demon looking eyes.
The three legs, the mourning deadly cries.
People feared its presence among the skies.
But Yatagarasu does not represent an end.
You should never kill if you see one descend.
They are sent to heal and cure blindness.
The blindness that pulls humans from guidance.
They come to lift up the fog of ignorance.
The kingdoms who feared Yatagarasu fell.
The earth, littered, by empires once eternal.
The price of killing what you shouldn’t is high.
The reason it’s high… you wish to know why.
You’ll never know, once you left Yatagarasu to die.
As for the man who killed the dark winged beast.
May his family and home, and himself, rest in peace.
Yatagarasu drove the ignorant into their abyss.
A place where they’re lost, with nowhere to leave.
Where they’ll starve till Death is ready to cleave.
Yatagarasu is a trap to the ones who are cruel.
To those who deny wisdom, to the world of the fool.
Yatagarasu will guide everyone who decides to tail.
You can tail life and find your answers’ trail.
You can tail death and wonder where you did fail.

Okay when I say that I absolutely adORE it when people use mythical allusions in their poems, sjsnsnsnssnsns I can't :blue_heart: :blue_heart: :blue_heart: :blue_heart:
You know. When it comes to musicality and rhythm. This poem is genuinely fabulous. I mean, you're rhymes, your pacing, and as Cara commented, your 'flow'. Every thing fits so beautifully in my opinion. And I love how you tried to make a AABCC DDEFF rhyme scheme. It works beautifully!!
Honestly. This could become a sick rap with a few little tweaks here and there. :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: And althought your flow is fantastic, you could make it even more fantabulous if you manipulate the syllables. I'm going to just show an example:
'The wind blows, the river flows.
The fire glows, the earth shows.'
These beginning lines flow wonderfully! But the word 'river' sort of throws off the meter a little bit. Like, if you clap out 'The wind blows' 'The fire glows' and 'The earth shows'...they all have exactly 3 syllables. 'the river flows' is the odd one out because there's four syllables there.
That isn't anything too big tho!! Just a suggestion :3 but other than that, this was gorgeous :blue_heart: :blue_heart: :blue_heart: :blue_heart: I need to stop sleeping on you nem :triumph: :triumph: :triumph: :triumph:
