Hey y'all, I have a small writing tip, some might find it a bit unconventional, but I find it rather helpful in keeping my momentum while writing novels (which is my usual).

First

Everyone hates writing the fluff.

Ugh, it's so boring, when does the good stuff happen?

Second

You know when the good stuff happens.

You've already written the book in your head, and most likely created an outline, unless you like to fly by the seat of your pants like me...

Third

Completely write out all of your pivotal scenes.

But doesn't that ruin the rest of the story? If I have all of the important parts why do I need to go back?

Fourth

Fluff is the important part.

How do you expect to bridge between one pivotal scene to another without some kind of let down to build up to another heart break, adrenaline rush, etc.?

Anyway, I hope this is fun and helpful, and it's just a tip, something new to try out if you feel stuck.
