Hey folks! I’m writing two books about pre-Christian Scandinavia—one on the general beliefs, values, and sacred places, and another focused on the role of women in society based on the goddesses in Norse mythology.
I already have a bunch of research questions I’m working from, but I’d love to hear what you’ve always wondered about this time period.
Got any questions about ancient rituals, myths, everyday spiritual life, or the sacred feminine? Drop them here! Your curiosity might help shape a new angle in the book.

I don’t have any specific questions, but I’m totally into this. Please let me know if you need any beta readers.
I suppose this is very specifically a research-based, non-fiction set of books then, yes?
I'm personally from Finland, and I know that my ancient ancestors formerly worshipped deities that are not too dissimilar from norse mythology. That said, they were heavily nature-based, and we had a bunch of shamanism. Spirits were, of course, a big thing
Yes, I have some of my research questions, but I will be looking at a few different periods before Christianization. My ancestors are from Sweden, and I think it’s mostly the same, except for Uppsala and other bigger cities that had specific Norse temples. I will be researching from the Migration Age, through Vikings, and up to the point that Christians came in.
