What do you like about Virginia Woolf's syntax and narrative style ?

I started reading Mrs. Dalloway. I don't know if it is because I am a novice, even after page 60 I am struggling to get hooked to the book. I really want to finish the book as I am challenging myself to read as many classics as possible. How was your experience reading Viriginia Woolf ? What is so brilliant about Woolf that I am missing out while reading this book ? Hoping to get encouraged by your answer and read more of Woolf's books. Thanks in advance.
