Hi friends! For most of us in the United States, it is back to school season. And since I am studying to be a teacher myself, I thought I might as well get in the practice and base this week’s weekly question on the most dreaded first day of school question! Are you excited? Let’s get into it!

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
Now if you’re anything like me, your mind instantly goes blank of anything remotely interesting about yourself, and you’re too busy trying to think of your own answer that you don’t learn anything about your new classmates. But have no fear, there’s no pressure here!
Since we want to keep this on theme, please keep your fun facts related to books and/or writing. Other than that, just try to think of something interesting about your reading/writing habits, and think of this as a way to let others in the community get to know you a bit. Get creative!
If you want to dedicate a whole post to this question, make sure to add the tag #funfactwq so that we don’t miss any of your answers! Otherwise, let’s chat in the comments! I can’t wait to read all of your lovely fun facts!
Happy reading and writing friends!

Fun fact: I’m a medium/fast reader and want to become a book author someday.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
In primary school the only decent spot to sit by yourself was in the undercover quad (where we had assemblies and lined up in our classes and for busses).
It was undercover, the benches were against the wall and you didn’t have to talk with anyone cause groups couldn’t sit in a circle.
But the quad was used to play games of handball.
By the time I graduated year six, I was able to sit on those benches, head in a book, and be able to dodge any rogue ball without looking.
Hahaha wowww that’s impressive!
Because I’m a glutton for punishment, my debut book(s) is a 7 series installment with minimum of 200,000 words/book. Since I’m writing all 7 books, before publishing the first, I decided to turn my entire hallway wall into a giant timeline visual display.
Did I bite off more than I can chew, you ask?
- that’s what blenders and reusable straws are for!
Oh, and when starting a new book, I always go straight to the very last page of the story and read the last word of of the last sentence. No clue why, but I’ve been doing that for over 30 years. It’s my glitch.
Wow that’s very ambitious!

I definitely never mastered the skills of simplicity. There are many moments I wish I had.
Here’s to ambition with a heavy dose of discipline.
I find books that have 30 chapters too, and ones that have 100 chapters too short ;-;
Haha thanks for sharing!
When I was younger (like 10 or something like that) I would read this book of almost 1000 pages instead of playing with my friends during recess. It was a book from the school library so I wasn't allowed to take it home, but I was determined to finish it before the end of the school year.
Haha dang!
