How do you guys feel about audiobooks or kindles. I know they are a lot more popular and used more nowadays but for me I don’t want to go down that route. This is for a couple reason with number 1 being that part of me reading is so that I am off screens. Reason number 2 being for audiobooks, is I feel like they would low key annoy me. Like the audiobooks that only use one narrator for all the voices  Reason number 3 being the fact that I like the feel of books themselves and I know that if I did use kindles or audiobooks I would also eventually get the physical book. And last but not least reason number 4 is so that I don’t have an even larger access to books so I can actually tackle my physical Tbr. I know everyone says this and then changes their mind but that’s how I feel so let me know how you guys feel about them and the reasons for that.

i miss the feeling of reading physical books and i love the smell of them. but it’s still nice using kindles, to have that convenience and know that i’m leaving myself with some extra cash for something else. also it’s nice to feel like i’m doing something to not contribute to deforestation you feel me?
I love physical books but for me I don't have enough time to sit four hours solely reading a book.
With the ability to use audiobooks, I am able to do household chores, homework, and just do other things while still being able to engage into the reading. I never struggle with comprehension when listening to audiobooks. It honestly helps me focus on the other things I'm doing. I kinda use audiobooks in place of music.
Even while doing other things I can recall vivid descriptions from what I listen to.
That’s really neat, for me I feel as though if I listened to audiobooks I would either tune them out because of what I’m working on or I would forget to focus on the task and just zero in on the audiobook

That's totally understandable! I know there quite a few times when I first started listening to audiobooks where I would just zone in on the audiobook rather than the other things I was doing. I think I have been able to get better at it is because most of the time I listen to books that don't require so much of my attention. I tend to do nonfiction or mental health books when using audiobook

Oh ya that’s cool, I’m more of a fantasy and romance book girly so romance would probably be easier to listen to and do something as well but fantasy would be hard
I prefer real books, but if I have to, I'll get kindle books. Reading on a screen just don't feel the same to me. And I know for a fact if i listen to audio books I'll end up tuning them out lmao
