I created this book tag because I love words which apply to me as an avid reader and lover of books. Enjoy!
━━━━━⊱✿⊰━━━━━
1. Epeolatry- the worship of words.
An eloquently written book.

All the Broken Pieces by Ann Burg
I’ve read three books written in poetic verse and I’ve loved every single one. All the Broken Pieces is about a Vietnamese boy whose father was a soldier in the Vietnam war. He’s adopted by an American family and the story follows his struggles and the struggles of soldiers who fought in Vietnam. This book poetically addresses the themes of war and belonging.
━━━━━⊱✿⊰━━━━━
2. Princeps- the first edition/printing of a book.
A beautiful edition of a book you have/want.

The Ravenclaw edition of the Philosopher’s Stone by JK Rowling
This book is beautiful and represents my Hogwarts house. I honestly think everyone should buy this book in their house colors. I don’t have it but I want it.
━━━━━⊱✿⊰━━━━━
3. Fascicle- a part or a number in a work published in installments.
The best book in a series you’ve read.

City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
Once the storyline with Valentine is over, Sebastian becomes the main villain and I live for it. The last three books in this series contain even more world building and character development. The 4th book is my favorite because it’s fast paced and interesting all the way through.
━━━━━⊱✿⊰━━━━━
4. Scripturient- someone who has a ion for writing.
An author whose writing style really captivates you and who understands you on a deep level.

V.E. Schwab
I’ve read four V.E. Schwab books and have decided anything she publishes I will read. Therefore I need to read her Archived series and the Monsters of Verity duology. I’m behind!
━━━━━⊱✿⊰━━━━━
5. Bibliotaph- one who “buries” books by hiding them, locking them away, or otherwise shutting them up and keeping them from use.
A book you will never lend to anyone.

The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale
In high school I lent my copy of The Goose Girl to a friend and she had it for a year. Because of that long separation, I will never allow anyone to borrow my copy of this book.
━━━━━⊱✿⊰━━━━━
6. Tsundoku- the act of leaving book unread after buying it, typically piling up together with other such unread books.
The last book you bought which ended up on your tbr pile.

Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
I’m extremely interested in reading this book but I’m terrible at reading books from my tbr shelf in my room. Everything about Station Eleven seems like something I will like. Lots of people I respect have loved it and the plot synopsis makes it sound like a book I’ll enjoy.
━━━━━⊱✿⊰━━━━━
7. Librocubicultarist- a person who reads in bed.
The coziest place you read.

My chair in my room.
(I wish this was my chair but it’s not.) When it’s light outside I put my feet up on my windowsill and look outside occasionally while reading a good book. When it’s dark I put on my Christmas lights and curl up with a blanket and read a good book. It’s a nice set up.
━━━━━⊱✿⊰━━━━━
8. Omnilegent- reading, or having read, everything.
A book you’ve read that you couldn’t find any flaws with.

The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan
I haven’t read a lot of books which address Asian culture. The Joy Luck Club was a great introduction into the genre and the stories within its pages portray the different superstitions and prejudices the author saw in her own family throughout her life.
━━━━━⊱✿⊰━━━━━
9. Bibliophile- a person who collects or has a great love of books.
A character who you relate to because of his/her love of literature.

Cathy Avery from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Cath is a character I relate to and absolutely adore. She becomes obsessive about characters from books and sees them as more than fictional.

What did you think of my answers? Have you read any of these books?

Can I do this book tag too ?
Yes please do!
City of Fallen Angels is my favorite book in that series too! I feel like CoFA doesn't get enough love and appreciation because people think it's a filler book but it's not. It's a start of another new adventure... and also I was happy that the Jace and Clary drama was over so we can focus on the other characters :joy:
I know! Jace and Clary finally got their crap together. Lol
Ahh this is an awesome tag! I had seen some of these words before but others were new to me. I will definitely be doing this tag one of these days!
Yay! I’m glad!
Wonderful tag! I really want that Harry Potter special edition - they all look so beautiful. I'm a Ravenclaw as well :blue_heart: And I've actually finished Station Eleven yesterday and I liked it very much.
Station Eleven looks really good! I’m excited to read it. Eventually. :joy:
Great tag. I have all 4 house books and they are wonderful. Ravenclaw here.
All four?! That’s dedication!
