Like with all sweet partings,

there are also sweet greetings.

                     I posted this first on this Amino's

                     Discord Server (yup, we have one),

                     but decided I should post it here as

                     well because why not...

                     By the way, this is the result from an

                     idea that sparked during a chat that

                     me and my BFF had one night... and

                     it involved a certain phrase we kept

                     seeing in Tumblr and Pinterest.

The gentle waters mild and calm

Swayed not with swiftness nor apathy;

Hearts be mended, yet strewn apart,

All they who bathed in its ichor,

As with the soothing angel sigh

Invite fair people in its domain,

Two such men did appear with haste

From such a simple beckon and call,

They dipped into the soothing stream;

Let the sleepy waters ebb and flow

While Hypnos whisked them far away

Into the realm of deep fantasy,

And swept, were they, to far-off lands

Where one's daydream reign as almighty,

So close were their intertwined thoughts

Yet were not brothers of thickest blood,

But while their hearts were mostly one,

There's a divide that sets them apart;

And neither Hera nor Eros

Could ever break these walls set between,

Their blood was almost one and same

Yet differ in each and every way;

They were brothers, and they were not,

Such a reason why no arrows flew,

So fond were they of each other

But spoke not with soft roses nor doves;

Such a thing is saved to their kin

Closer than the bonds they've held right now,

Lest be thought they court each other

Or woo their young hearts with song and wine,

They made their audiences know

They've distanced each other five feet apart.
