It’s easy to sit by the tree,

protected beneath its shade,

crying about tomorrow

and mourning yesterday.

Creating tumultuous storms

apocalyptic thunder and lightning

when it’s so simple to move on and

find the sun behind the mountains

We spend way too much time

waiting for the clouds to disappear,

for the sun to come to us instead

without looking for it by ourselves.

We need to change our weather

To cease the rain and take in warmth

Because clouds will on eventually

But we will soak while they reign over

Stand up and look up in the sky.

Chase the sun and its light.

Fight through your darkest time

instead of waiting for rain to stop

For the clouds to give way
