Take My Hand | Poem

Hello Everyone!

Today, I bring you all a random poem that has been scribbled into one of my notebooks for a couple of weeks! I intended to share this sooner, but things came up!

(Better late than never, right?)

Take my hand

And give me your trust.

I promise I’ll be gentle.

You have a good heart

Though many

Fail to see it.

But I do.

You are a bright light,

Though you think

You’re the darkness itself.

I’ll cradle your face

In the palm of my hands.

And when I whisper in your ear,

I hope you’ll fall deeper in love.

You have this trick,

Like magic itself,

To pull me up when I’ve fallen down.

You’ve saved me

In ways you’ll probably

Never know.

Thank you.

I will show you

How loving

Your heart is,

And I’ll take care of it.

I will show you

How bright you are

And how you chase the darkness in me

Far, far away.

You’ll slip your hand

around my waist

And pull me in closer.

I’ll hold you in your

Darkest days,

Forever and always,

I’ll be yours.

So when we say goodnight,

And are forced to hang up,

Know this is my message for you:

I don’t know if you’ll ever read this,

I don’t know if you’ll continue to care as time es.

But.

I want you to know

How much you mean

To me.

To be honest, I have no clue where I’m headed when I write these free-verses. Though, it still just... happens :joy:
