"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me"

Your volitional hands paint my pale skin,

in the midnight blacks and flowery summer blues of your butterfly affection, that flutters away into oblivion, in the striking glare of reality leaving my asphyxiated soul gasping for more.

I wrap the ignorance of tear soaked dawns, around my shoulders waiting for the nights full of the burning glory of shooting stars, raining fire on my body, my blood mixing with the hunger in my veins in a heady concoction of fear and desire for destruction to claim me.

You say you want me,

in the fathomless depths of the desolate moonless night like the sin you can never get enough of, refusing to acknowledge it's impure existence in the revealing daylight of puerile endearments.

Moulding my imperfections with your eutonic words that pour lead into ears, incinerating my stone cold heart into the ashes that blow away polluting the air reeking of the fragrance of illusory bliss.

Intoxicated by your soothing lies, that calm the poison of your acidulous syllables whispered in the name of your occasional lethal doses of illegal love, I am yours for the dreamless night, till you don't need my wilted rose of hopeless offerings anymore and crush my singed desperate petals under your feet.

My obtuse soul revolts you in countless ways, yet you come back, with stardust in your fists and the thunderclouds to overcast my skyful of summer dreams.

Addictive revulsion in your eyes, making me scramble to scale the precarious peaks of perfection and find the rarest flower of your acceptance within the forest full of weeds.

I let you back in, your vitriolic vines wrapping around my throat,

"Your sticks and stones may break my bones,

Your words will never hurt me."

Until I let them destroy me completely.
